Damn!!!! The PS3 is pwning lately

At E3 we got a $100 price cut, our first glimpse of GT5 and news of a new project from sucker punch called Infamous. In addition we saw Killzone 2 (a step above Geow even in pre alpha form) and learned that the PS3 would be getting a superior version of UT3 as a timed exclusive as well as Haze. There were also promising PSN announcements of Echochrome and Everyday Shooter.

Today there were numerous game announcements including Disgea 3, Loco Roco PS3, Twisted Metal PS3, A Katamari Damacy Sequel and Sega's Valkyrie of the Battlefield, all in one day.

and still we are told that the big announcements wont be made until TGS.

But, theone million dollar question is, can all this top the awesomness that is WiiFit?

It's definately making improvements, just needs a little more good news before it's starts being really competitive.Svarthek

Lol that sounds like something out of Ancient China like Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Seriously, the fact the the PS3 version will be on par with the PC version is enough for me. Mods, great visuals and a blast to play - It and Warhawk will be HUGE for the PSN later this year. And if Slant Six can get Socom out in good shape, that's another great multiplayer game.

And then you have all the other 1st and 3rd party games coming... all in all, looks to be a great year for PS3 owners. And next year looks awesome also, Killzone 2 with it's Singleplayer and Multi should be huge.

I would have to agree, Sony redeemed themselves at E3 07. KingsofQueens

not just at E3, they've had 5 promising game announcements today at some crappy event in japan. can you imagine the insanity that will ensue at TGS?

so then do what is best for you now. a lot of us tend to see consoles as a long term thing (especially now given their cost) and we are willing to wait

Yeah kind of seen it all falling into place for sony, but Peter Moore story was what really gave it away, lol. I hope he is happyer in EA then he was in MS, he mustve had alot of pressure put on him and just couldnt take it no more. Maybe sony later on will welcome him with a spot on the sony band wagon with open arms. Peter Moore is a great guy to have on your company, but how funny would that be seeing him work for sony and seeing him come out with a new tattoo of a new exclusive for ps3, lmao. That would be some payback ownage to MS for letting him go.

Why not call it a Sow, I mean it's a actual animal.:P

PS3 version of UT3 won't necessarily be superior. Think about mods... PS3 is linux based. errors much? They aren't even going to keep making the version that got a price cut. Haze hasn't shown anything to prove it's going to be good. There's no such thing as "Pre alpha" and you have no idea how they are doing with killzone outside the few areas of the game they showed in motion (looked boring too). As for all the other wonderful games you listed, I haven't heard of most of them. The best feature the PS3 has right now is the fact it is a BluRay player.

The PS3 might be pwning a little more in the future, but not right now.
