"Ninty pulling out" "MS changing positions"?????? LOLz

The only real flaws of the Wii are the lack of valued 3rd party games in regard to massive amount of 3rd party shovelware that has buried the good games, as well as developers not pushing to create "good" games for the Wii. With the Wii having such a large install base you would think third parties would contribute more, but apparently graphical limities are a HUGE setback. Sony is indeed the only one that's in the "middle" and has been very consistant in 3 vital criterias:
Despite promoting the Move, Sony is still in the same (consistant) position for 17 years in promoting for the hardcore market. Move is an option and FAR LESS concentrated on. Unlike Nintendo and MS where they're pushing their Motion Sensing to the masses.
exactly what i was thinking. good job![QUOTE="slvrraven9"][QUOTE="UCF_Knight"]Wait, what is Microsoft doing?UCF_Knightswitching from hardcore to casual with kinect..... (changing positions!) What games have they scrapped in order to push Kinect? What are they doing differently besides adding something new? see the main focus has gone from pushing out core games in favor of pushing out games for kinect. Gamers that dont have/want kinect are left with slim pickins so to speak. instead of putting the primar focus on the add on like MS is doing, their primary focus is still on the hardcore market, while still bringing out games and supporting the move.

Microsoft is doing the same thing with Kinect as Sony is doing with Move. Developing the same games as usual, and implementing those controls for whoever feels like using them. It's not like Microsoft has replaced Gears, Halo, and Forza with mini game collections. All those games are still coming this year, just as they would have if Kinect never existed. I have no idea where you're going with this.

Nintendo is lying.Nintendo is trying to be Hardcore
MS is turning causal
And Sony is staying the same
HaloPimp978
i meant in the current gen ;)Nintendo can't be the ones pulling out when they're the ones furthest ahead.

woah there partner. think about what im saying for a second. with MS focusing more on the kinect instead of regular core games and ninty dropping the wii baisicly in favor of the wiiu sony is the only one still going strong with the current market and handling its supporters right. i agree the wiiu is coming and it might be great but with games rivaling what were already getting on the current gen...it might be too little to late for ninty. MS is in a boat of its own with kinect....and how its pretty much doing the core gamers with the skimpy support.loool joke thread i hope no one can be this dumb

Well, in the wii's case....this last year and a half is going to be pretty bare of support aside from shovelware. understandable why because they wanna focus on the next gen...but for current wii owners, well, better start catching up on games you hadnt played yet.

I totally agree.
Sony just has more games that are high quality games for the hardcore that aren't killer apps like COD, Gears and Halo. I mean, Uncharted is a popular series, but it is nowhere NEAR Halo or Gears in terms of appeal to the casual core gamer (the people who buy consoles for COD and Halo and Madden). It just seems like the games that are on Sony systems aren't developed to be cash cows, they are developed to be good games. Maybe it is because most of their big games are single player focused. Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, Crash Bandicoot, Killzone (this one is the only one that might be pushing into the same category as COD and Halo), God of War, Uncharted, Infamous, Yakuza, Team Ico games, etc... The list goes on.
As a PC only gamer (for now) I can say that Sony is the most traditional game company and console manufacturer. In the past it was all about the games, and now with M$ and Nintendo, they seem to be focusing on hardware. This may change with the WiiU, but we don't know for sure.
lol microsoft will never lead and saying sony is the only 1 leading i dont think so ,
what has sony brought to the table other then multiple formats to store games huh dont say analog-n64 had it first
motion-wii /nes had them first
ya get your head out of the gutter
as far as sony goes only time well tell but wii u will be succesful,
cause its the only one on the market for some time far then enough time , to be honest i think sony and ms are letting nintnedo go ,
they really see no reason to fight them
and i think thats how it should be , cause after all nintendos main industry is the games industry ,,
sony and ms have other markets to fall back on
but since you brought it up i tihnk next gen will be bad for microsoft
due to the following factors
1 third console curse
2 -- reliablity has to be questioned
3 price , we all know how much darn expensive ps3 was which is why sony is pulling a wiiu card out of its sleeve-only slightly more powerful then a ps3 not all crazy at all , putting them in a good 350 range , -same for nintendo could be less but ya
microsoft we dont know what they want
if they go for power again , well have fun, cause we all know exactly what happens to the most powerful unit on shelves---struggles at launch
more expensive for developers and consumers
and by the end of the gen ms will be lucky to make profit , , cause guess what japan already doesnt like 360 that much
the usa wont either if it costs 600-700 dollars
im sorry remember ps3
and what really bothers me is microsoft dont get more first party titles they will be in even more trouble
the reason 360 succeeded was because at the start they had good amount of first party titles
but that has changed
-they went from having

Wait... what is "hardcore" about Sony's offerings? Lol. And what is Nintendo "pulling out" of? They are trying to push the console market forwards and keep it from stagnating.foxhound_foxpulling out of the current gen....abandoning the system a little too early. 2 games left for baisicly a year and a half?? good thinking on nintys part...drop out the current gen and leave em wanting more. and sony is still offering games for everone. hardcore, casual....people in between! so its kinda like this, ninty = no games, MS is mostly casual now and sony is still fighting the good fight with games for everyone and still supporting their current exclusives for the fans. we will have to see how support is for the vita when its released....but so far theyre the ones working hardest to please everyone...
[QUOTE="slvrraven9"][QUOTE="UCF_Knight"]Wait, what is Microsoft doing?UCF_Knightswitching from hardcore to casual with kinect..... (changing positions!) What games have they scrapped in order to push Kinect? What are they doing differently besides adding something new?
Kameo 2 and Perfect Dark Core were scrapped so Rare could work on kinect sports. Which would you rather have?
lol microsoft will never lead and saying sony is the only 1 leading i dont think so, in the games department at this point sony is offering MUCH more than MS and ninty are.
what has sony brought to the table other then multiple formats to store games huh dont say analog-n64 had it first WHAT? what does that have to do with my op? if you dont understand just say so and i would gladly break it down.....like its been done already this thread.
motion-wii /nes had them first again, WHAT?

dude i think youre reading WAY too much into what i was saying! but whatever, ill bite....
Kameo 2 and Perfect Dark Core were scrapped so Rare could work on kinect sports. Which would you rather have?HatikoNeither. :P I didn't know of those games being canceled though because of Kinect. If so, then I can see Kinect having a slightly larger impact than Move, but nonetheless I don't see how Microsoft is going so much more casual now than Sony.

Sesame street. That is all.

Still, it'd be nice if they focused on making more games that would cater to the hardcore players. Instead they'd prefer to make a game about Sesame Street.

Really? Go watch the Microsoft E3 press conference
Nintendo is facing a huge Hardcore Fan Backlash with their little Announcement they made earlier (only for NOA), Sony has had a critical Backlash too with Internet Secerity, and Microsoft can't seem to understand who is their fanbase anymore.
Gaming in America. Yeah!......
