Priority was console, obviously. It will make multiple times revenue over PC on PS3 alone. LOL@ them optimizing for KB/M control btw, this means enough people played the first with those controls that they had to do this. Have fun with that online community hahaha.

a japanese developer went from making a PS3 exclusive to make a PS3 and 360 multiplat with a quick and dirty port to the PC much much later.....to a release 1 month after the console version.
despite its poor state on the PC, clearly the last game did enough numbers to get the developers and publishers attention for the platform. if it sold bupkis then they would just do a shoddy port a year after the console release or not bother porting at all.
of course it could still be a shoddy port...lets hope its a good PC game too.

the PC version is the lead version according to the developers..so it can't be too terrible.
I will be suffering seeing everyone play this game in a week while i'll be waiting for over a months but it'll be for a good cause, the Dark Souls 2 cause. Praise The Sun!

Ahhhhhh doesn't help as the days draw nearer. Wish I didn't sell my PS3 simply because I know the community will be larger. Hopefully the Xbox 360 community will be a bit more robust than for Dark Souls.
The delay is obviously for them to put in time to make the port not crap this time.
Rockysteady said the same thing with Arkham City's delay. DX11 was broken for months.
The de... lay is to stop pc pirates eating into console sales, a fairly common and long running tactic by publishers.
I highly doubt any amount of piracy will detract from the sales they'll earn from launch
But some publisher tend to do it anyways so it's irrelevant if it affects the piracy problem or not. As long as they have the doubt or fear they will tend to do it.
The developer said they wanted give pc gamer a good experience you think their going make a proper pc game and not put mouse and keyboard controls and I guess you didn't know their were control mods for dark souls. And this is their first proper pc port they don't have much experience on making games for the pc.
Your going have to back that up which can't if you think the ps3 version is going make more revenue. And labtops? Not like you can't plug in a mouse. Try harder next time and nothing lame.
Console games are pirated before launch date you can torrent dark souls 2 right now
I'm sure many will try to pirate it, but in the end you need a modded console which many of those that will try won't have. On PC basically everyone who tries to pirate will succeed.
