It is confirmed that Demon's Souls and Dark Souls series is the best RPG series. If they continue this series it will only prove more strongly it is the best RPG series even further. Gritty grind it out rewarding gameplay with such great bosses and level design is the best bar none.

Great games. That being said, Skyrim is my favourite game of the year, so far.

Demons' Souls was extremely dissappointing after all the hype I heard about it. I got it later on, the christmas after it got GotY here, and I grew bored suprisingly quickly. It wasn't the difficulty either. That was one of the things that kept me playing for longer. But other than that and the unique online design, the game was just boring.

EDIT: ^^^ That's probably it (Post above). I enjoy stories in games. They're a huge part of it for me. Demons' Souls had nothing to make me motivated to go onward other than some difficulty.

The game is more about ambiance and atmosphere than anything concrete. It is very ambiguous. It is almost better this way because it allows character and level design to describe what the world is like, instead of someone telling you.

Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are the two best new RPGs this gen. Props to From Software and looking forward to their next Souls game

Exactly. Tons of reasons not to play Dark Souls and Demon Souls. Heck even the so called "positives" like its uber difficulty will put people off. Personally, I dont have the patience to play such a game after being stressed at university. Why would I want to come home to even more stress? If they bothered to implement a half decent coop system I would have conisdered the game.
