Sound like a cash grab. They should've offered free update to those who already own the game.
Its not free, they overhauled the game. In fact they have more cause to charge than SquareEnix did with Human Revolution.
Once again, the levels are going to be very different, with new enemies and items, and many areas are tweaked as well, some with added shortcuts.
aka cash grab.
Or how about improved edition?
So much gamer entitlement.
Witcher 2's enhanced edition included improved visuals and lock on system. It totally rebalanced the entire game. People complained that it is harder in the beginning and becomes easier later on, so they made the harder in later parts, improved AI and their attack speed. It also included new quests as well as new locations. Not only that but they created Intros and Outros for the game, rewrote some of the dialogues. They called back voice actors to record extra dialogues for the game.
The game had extra cutscenes, improved ending, all the DLCs released previously PLUS Arena Mode and Tutorial. They also completely overhauled visuals of Chapter 3 + Epilogue and it was 100% free update for owners of vanilla. For new comers it was released as standalone title digitally and on Blue Ray. And these guys are charging people for minor improvements. Won't be surprised if some of these "features" were supposed to be in the game but they removed them, so they could sell it later as an update.
We all remember how the game was downgraded. But that's fine because "discount" right? This thread alone is proof that people were concerned over their policies regarding this updated version, that's why you had to create this thread. As usual, I don't expect you to acknowledge mistakes of your one of favorite developers.
