I like the sound of the story being made clearer. I just want it all to make sense without a bunch of fans trying to make sense of it all with a huge amount of speculation. Plus, they've said there will still be "hidden" elements in the story and world which can be missed, so it should still be interesting.
Sounds like this game is being Windowized. PC gamers couldn't handle the complexity of the first game so it is being dumbed down to fit their needs. There goes my hype for the game.

I think the morality system may be along the lines of the World Tendency from Demon's Souls.
I hated that.
Why? It rewards players who did good and punished those who did bad. Dying in a game should have some sort of consequence and making the game more difficult will force the player to get better. Once the player has overcome the difficulty of a black world tendency, they can kill a primeval demon and score themselves a colorless demon soul that try can use to make their equipment better. Players that do consistently well and obtain pure white world tendency are rewarded by gaining access to blocked off areas that hold unique weapons.
