Dashboard made me return my 360 Elite for a PS3 160-Gig Model

Yup i had enough, i was already contemplating going back to a PS3 for the past few days but after the recent freeze ups of multiple games since the new dashboard update, my decision was made.

There is nothing more frustrating than playing a season of Madden or a tournament in Tiger Woods and having the 360 freeze up multiple times during game play and being forced to start over and over, so since i haven't had my Elite that long i took my reciept, system and games and returned them.

I was first trying to lay my hands on a descent 60 Gig refurb PS3 but everyone i looked at appeared to be cosmetically scratched up, dusty and mangled in some way, and i am not putting my return credit and more to pay the $429.99 for a system that looks that bad.

So i bit the bullet on the backwards compatibility and bought a brand new 160-Gig PS3 and since i got over $400.00 in return credit the cash payout for the difference and Resistance 2 wasn't that bad, so needless to say i am now a full blown Sony fan and i seriously doubt i'll ever be able to return to a 360 again, it's bad enough they had the faulty RROD hardware for over 3 years but now their dashboard software update is about as reliable as their first release of Windows Vista.

So flame all you want fanboys, but if there is anyone who gave Microsoft their fair share of chances over the years it was me and the 4 360's i've gone through, oh and no i won't be going through the trouble of changing my user name, because i did play and beat both Gears of War games a lot more than once and i played them to death online, but now it will be strictly Resistance 1 and 2.

Wow it certainly sounds like you took this very personally, however regardless of what you might think, my username originated simply because i played both Gears of War games alot and i was born in 1969, thats all there is to it, sorry if your such a Sony hater, you should really lighten up we're all gamers after all.

It must be because you were selected. 1 in every 1000 people are randomly selected by Microsoft to experience freezing on their Xbox 360.  The only way to rid of the problem is to legally get a name change. Other than that there is nothing you can do, and no matter what, you will always experience freezing on any and all Xbox 360s.

How, exactly did i get owned, when i even mentioned in that very thread on how i wish i could've got a PS3. Look i am a gamer for 30 years now and i love all consoles, well, not the Wii so much but their have always been Nintendo 1st party i liked, but why do you guy's flame and jump all over a guy because he happens to change his consoles ?, what's the big deal ? it doesn't effect you at all, if i could afford all 3 i might have all 3 but now my current choice is the PS3 and as long as it works i'll have it.

I dont understand all this whining. Ive had my 360 since Fab 2007 and I have no problems at all. The new update is great, and ive had no problems at all, even on the first day......

Okay and when i got it back, thats when i did the Dashboard update, and thats when all my games started freezing up..It's that simple. God you guy's make it out to be so much of a bigger deal than it is. Ya' know what if this is how harsh and sensitive the 360 boys are in this forum , that they can't even understand a simple malfunction which lead to this console change then i'm proud not to be one of them any longer, God forbid the corporate monster that is Microsoft lose an Xbox fan, well maybe it'll help to know i'm also an Apple user or is that a problem to because now i'm not lining Microsofts deep pockets what so ever..

No one cares if you dislike MS or the Xbox we just find your an amusing figure as your lies are so poorly strung together. Heck, i dont even like the Xbox, it's a big POS. Sadly, all my friends have them and it has the better games ... for now.

- trade in elite for PSP around the launch of Gears 2

- get your elite back

- bash 360 games one day

- bash the PS3 the next

- update to new dashboard and trade elite for PS3
