IMO halos crown has already been taken by gears. I bought the 360 for graphics! not game play ideas. They sold me on graphics I want graphics!

gears cant touch halos gamplay, halo 2's MP is still better, graphics sure, if you think graphics makes a game your no better than a desperate cow fanboy...

I love Halo but I agree, Bungie did nothing to take advantage of the 360. I thought Halo 2 was overrated, though, so my opinion is probably worthless to a Halo fan.

Well still like I said, they all had positive things to say. The guy at teamxbox said that he believes that if they showed the demo at e3 everyone would have been impressed. If thats not praising the graphics then I dont know what is.

Personally, I am sure Halo 3 will be another great game in the series. As someone who is not a fanboy, I do wonder why there is a double standard when it comes to the PS3 and 360. IMO Halo 3 still looks good from a graphical standpoint--but it is not close to its first showing as to what the game will look like. Now, again I have no problem there either.

The problem is that when Sony does this--everyone screams that they are liars and some big evil corporation. Also, everyone claimed Sony lied with Uncharted, Lair, HS, and the infamous Killzone. They all screamed that the games would never look like that. Then, all of the sudden it appers that not only has Sony delivered--but in many cases they surpassed their target renders. But oh that still is not good enough, people then claim that the gameplay will somehow suck--even without having played it or really seeing someone play it.

So why the double standard? It seems like when a 360 game clearly does not look as good as the initial target render--it is no big deal at all, but if Sony were to pull this it would be the end of the world. Heck even when Sony delivers--people spin it in some crazy way that Sony still lied. That is what I don't get.

I dont blame him,my expectations for Halo 3 are slowly lowering.Ill get it,since playing the multiplayer with friends is a garauntee that it will be fun,but gameplay wise I wanted something better(beta).

Graphically,the game is a let down.The new mastercheif actually does look worse than the first Halo 3 master cheif,his visor doesnt have the real-time reflection and the texture of the armor looks alot worse.The graphics in the latest Halo trailer looked to have sub-par Halo 3 graphics(textures,vegetation)...im hoping theyre just Halo 2 placeholders.

Gameplay wise,going by the beta,the game was only balance a bit more and they added the little additional mines,bubblesheild...etc.I hope Bungie surprises us with the final build.

This was my biggest fear in regards to Halo 3. Bungie took the safe route(and lazy route in my opinion) anddid not spend the time nor energy in order to make this game truly epic on all levels. We all know the story and gameplay will most likely be good but will they be epic as this game should and could have been? Doesnt sound and look like it to me. As for the visuals, I think the game looks good but no where near as it could have and should have looked.

With the amount of money and time MS poured into this game it should have looked amazing on ALL levels. The xbox360 is such apowerful systemand there is no excuse why this game couldnt have looked amazing while still keeping true to the "Halo art ****" I will still be picking up my pre-order, however, I'm pretted pissed and disappointed in Bungie. Out of all the developers out thre I just expected more out of them.

Thats not true at all. I loved the Halo: CE and I didnt like halo2. Why didnt you like it??? SP was no were near the calibur of thehalo ceor as fun. The online in halo ce was fun and liked the weapons a lot more. More weapons doesnt make a game better. Most people that played online were the hardcore players. So ever match was fun. Wow you must of not been a true halo fan back in the day. There was a program that you downloaded off the internet which let you play off servers on your computer. You would be still playing it on your xbox but you would be playing it on PC serves.

Exactly..this guy saw what the rest of the world saw. I too wasn't too impressed with that E3 trailer. Those who, however, saw the game behind closed doors seemed very impressed with what they witnessed.

whats wrong with taking a proven forumula and tweaking it... Now graphics have no excuse. If the game truly looks like Halo 2 than shame on Bungie, though from what I've seen it looks much better. People you have to remember that Halo is by far and above the most successful online console experience in gaming...period. You can't expect Bungie to just up and change the formula of the entire game... I'm assuming Halo being Halo is a good thing for Halo fans...
