Days Gone is underrated and should be GOTY so far.

I have a bad feeling that Death Stranding is all set in stone to win every GOTY award because SJW’s love Kojima, hate Konami and is featuring that uhh..Geoff keighley guy in it.

I love Kojimas games, but I have doubts the quality will be there.

Gears 5 won’t win, lol resident evil 2 port and LOL Zelda port. I know some desperate sites will try and claim a terrible handheld Zelda port as the best game but that’s laughable.

Honestly, Days Gone is freaking awesome and is easily the best game this year. I have no idea why no one is hyping it up.

The gameplay is excellent and addicting. The story and characters are awesome. The missions are varied and not too long so they don’t drag on. Random events create moments of laughter when hordes kill people for you.

There is so much awesomeness to this game.

But the same SJW’s that are praising Death Stranding are bashing Days Gone because the main character is a “gruff straight white male”....

It makes no damn sense because that describes the main character in Death Stranding.

This is honestly stupid and I feel like Days Gone isn’t going to get the awards it deserves despite it being an awesome game gameplay wise.

If you guys have not played it yet, you are missing out.

@ajstyles: Well, you have....unique taste, if you honestly think Days Gone should be goty. Personally, I bought it for the hordes. They looked amazing...but Christ it was repetitive, and they hadn't ironed out any of the major bugs by the time I had lost interest.

What did Days Gone give you that we haven't seen before? Zombies? Open World? I mean, I honestly couldn't bring myself to do the same mission type over and over again, and I'd give it a 6/10 if I was being generous....

I enjoyed Days Gone and got the platinum trophy for that game. I was also one of the few who was hyped for the game leading up to the release; despite majority of the people here bashing the game. It was a good game but not a great game and had quite a few issues when it launched. I commend the developers though for patching the game at a consistent pace but I don't think this game is GOTY material. It doesn't bring anything new to the table.

Lol I havent played days gone but from what i seen it's a 8.6 out of 10 with the intial glitches etc bringing it down to a technical 7.1 lol (I dont know the extent of the glitches )

If days gone showed 50 mins of walking everywhere not shooting any weapons or avoiding the bike plus him only encountering one zombie before the game came out most ppl including you apparently would feel the same way they/you do about death stranding at this point

If Smash wins GOTY, just cancel awards all together. REmake 2 or maybe DMC 5, but Smash is stupid. No different from the last Smash game, just a roster boost, which is every sports game.

I don’t care how much content/unlockables Ultimate has if the core gameplay and control method sucks balls. Playing smash on a handheld like switch/3DS sucks and you can’t convince me other wise.

I might check out Days Gone at some point. It looks more interesting than Death Stranding. That's for damn sure. But I disagree with you on Resident Evil 2 Remake. That was a badass game! And it was not even close to being a port because it was completely different from the ps1 game.

Days Gone was a great game and I hope it turns into a franchise. My only problems with it were all the bugs and glitches. One bug even stopped me from progressing through a tunnel to get back to one of the camps for awhile.

Because of the reviews it got, and it’s framerate/bug issues, I do not think it will get GOTY. I think Death Stranding, Fire Emblem Three Houses or Resident Evil 2 will.

@howmakewood: lol that video is terrible and looks like it was uploaded on release day. I got the game shortly after and it still had bugs- nothing as bad as what that video shows though
