Days Gone release date leak

Days Gone release date was leaked by an online retailer and is supposedly coming August 22, 2017.

I have a feeling this game would release this year. They showed gameplay for it last year.

Hopefully it is better than what the showings suggested

Doubt it's releasing this year. Looks further off from release than God of War, which I can believe is actually 2017 since it's been in alpha since December and the voice actor has it listed as 2017.

hopefully the tighten up those gun mechanics.

The open world looks beautiful, just hope the gameplay will be good.

Cool if true. So much for Sony using all their guns at the start of the year. This seems to be the most epic year in gaming for Sony in a long long time.

Makes sense that they would want this out ASAP. I was surprised Sony even backed this idea as they already have a survival zombie-esq game via The Last of Us. TLoU appears to do everything better with the exception that Days Gone features mass hordes of zombies.

Getting Days Gone out quicker will give time between their zombie survival games. I doubt TLoU 2 will be out before 2019.

Not sure how you figure that considering there have been multiple Xbox News Wire posts this year so far stating this is a 2017 game as well as the initial trailer stating 2017. Sure, things can always get pushed but to say there has been no evidence of 2017 release means you're not paying attention.

I'm really looking forward to Days Gone but I'm not getting my hopes up for this year.......I'm just not falling for this rumor.

This game looks mediocre as fu** from what I've seen so far... like a LOU wannabe. Anyway hopefully it turns out good for PS4 owners.

If you originally said, "no solid confirmation", sure. You said "no evidence" to support a 2017 release. You are wrong.

Despite the many zombies games that have flooded the market in recent years, I still don't feel like we have had that definitive zombie game yet. Different zombies games get different things right, but they are each lacking in some key area so none thus far have given me the definitive zombie experience that I'm looking for. I'm hoping that Days Gone ends up being that definitive zombie game that I've been waiting for.

I think the game looks really neat and reminds me a bit of World War Z in terms of the way the zombies behave, they need to actually show the real game though, all this scripted demonstration stuff needs to go.

The devs have said that the game has been in development for over 3 years at last year's E3. It might release this fall.

Maybe so. Scalebound was originally supposed to release in 2017 as well.

@jcrame10: perhaps you require a dictionary to realize the meaning of words. Scalebound had evidence of releasing this year... and got cancelled. That doesn't mean there wasn't evidence of it's release in 2017 prior to that. An announcement of 2017 from the publisher is evidence of a release. Otherwise no game would ever have "evidence" of a release. Lol, you can't make up the stupidity​ of some posters on here.

Are you really that triggered by a rumored release date of this year for Days Gone? Why are you even bringing up State of Decay 2 in this thread?

Really i had a different opinion. It looked cool what i saw. Thousands of zombies following him was cool.

Hmm yeah I don't know... didn't really impress me. Probably going to be like an open-world LOU (except not as good probably).

Hope it comes out this year, although PS4 is breaking bank with games this year thus far.

Is this the terrible zombie game? Not interested, the gameplay looked tedious firing into an endless swarm while back peddling.

yes I'm pumped up for the game but I doubt it will come out this year it may come out early next year.

The game had a really interesting premise, it's just that thousands of zombies (a zombie blob if you will) storming at you doesn't really make for an engaging singleplayer.

I'm still really looking forward to this game, as it's made by Bend, but I wasn't excited by what I saw so far.

That would be awesome. Also, since you mention -- bring back Road Rash!

I feel like I'm going to end up dying a lot in this game.
