Improving the power won't stop shovelware from being created.

True, yet we should always remember Gumpei Yokoi. Despite is only failure with Virtual Boy, he had always been smart for hand-held gaming.

Nice scans. But i'm going to need a few gameplay vids before I can get excited. And more importantly, more Hitomi. = )
FireEmblem_Man
Hmmmm...... I don't know if Hitomi will be in it since this looks like a prequel of Dead or Alive 1.... :(
So? No Helena either? :(
Good news for 3DS i guess, but still no DOA5 multiplat?

never said it would however with decent hardware the games will be not nearly as held back. ds was great but it was held back by its ultra low end hardware. most of the 3d games were awful . way to many 2d games on the system

I like the amount of 2D games that are on the system, as I enjoy a lot of 2D games. We have enough extremely high tech games, this generation needs more variety.
[QUOTE="FireEmblem_Man"]It could be a bit of both. Like the few Tekken games having beat 'em up like gameplay modes with their regular fighting modes. They better not do something like that!Is this a fighting game or an action beat'em up?

Michael0134567
Why not? It was just an bonus mode. The regular game was no different from previous Tekkens.
High chance of a Majoras Mask remake?shutdown_202Oh, I don't know about that. It's a miracle they even put it on the Virtual Console.
Kids and perverted adults are going to love this game. :D

Not many, the simplistic controls and dial-a-combos turn off many fighting game fans, and it's another reason why this series has a very small competitive scene.

OMG and cows still think 3DS struggles to reach PSP graphics LOL. King_Dodongo
The backgrounds are world's better than the DoA game on PSP, but I'd say the character models are about on par with the ones in Paradise. Hopefully a link to a CGI girl in a bikini isn't considered "obscene" by the TOU, I'm going to assume it's okay because it's an ingame pic on a reputable site on a widely available game. Comparative link for Ayane... http://psp.ign.com/dor/objects/686989/dead-or-alive-paradise/images/dead-or-alive-paradise-screens-20100219112200674.html.
PSP graphics still hold up well, although I do think the 3DS surpasses it, it's not really a big gap or anything.

How can people say Doa isn't competitive? The counter-attack system gives the game an amazing amount of depth to the gameplay.
Anyway, i'll be getting this since i'm big fan of NG/DOA but...WHERE THE HELL IS MY DEAD OR ALIVE 5!

There are just no tournaments with DOA in it, also I want NG 3 especially with online/local co-op throughout the campaign (with harder enemies of course).
OMG and cows still think 3DS struggles to reach PSP graphics LOL. King_DodongoReally? I was not aware of that. However, I doubt you'll be able to use a nude hack like in Dead or Alive Paradise (not that you'd want to with all the dudes in the game, anyway).
You serious?[QUOTE="King_Dodongo"][QUOTE="Loco_Live"]
▲ not really interested in any of the 3DS titles. I've never liked the DOA series. ▲
Loco_Live
▲ Yeah. If most of Nintendos titles werent remakes I'd be more interested. ▲
There are 3 remakes, Star Fox 64, Metal Gear Solid 3, and Ocarina of Time. Paper Mario isn't a remake. But let me guess you ARE excited for the PSP2 even with no knowledge because it's so great and the only reason it doesn't have as many AAAs and AAs as the Ds is because Gamespot is teh bias?[QUOTE="laus_basic"]
direct feed screens:
TheShadowLord07
has it been confirm who is this?
Thats Hayate/Ein.
Havent you played DOA 2/hardcore/ultimate/3/4?
Sorry that looks really outdated. Doesn't even come close to DOA 3 and looks worse than tekken PSP. runbleduckWell to be fair, it hasn't released yet. It will get better by the time it launches.
I wonder if Ryu Hayabusa will be in this game. That guy is one badass ninja.nintendoboy16hes already in the game. he was shown in the early e3 screen shots. anywho im sick of 3ds pics now i want to see videos.. 3 more weeks.. 3 more weeks :( hopefully we get to see some 3ds action at TGS, hopefully.

Maybe they will but it will only be 3rd Party titles because Nintendo only attended TGS once. They always have their own show around the same time as TGS this year it is the 29th of September in 2008 it was October 2nd.
Doesn't even come close to DOA 3 and looks worse than tekken PSP. runbleduckThe geometry is much higher in the DoA screens(models and backgrounds) than in Tekken PSP. Not to mention the 2xSSAA , normal mapping, and the fact that the game is most likely running at 60 FPS. This game also certainly looks better than DoA3 and closer to Ultimate for much of the same reasons. I find that we often remember games as looking much better than they really were. Same thing happened to me with MGS3D and the PS2 version.
