Yeah on gamescoop on IGN they all were like... Yeah.... This game is pretty terrible. And if Ign doesnt like it lol.. I think all hope is lost they like everything
you basically have your way with slow, mindless dummies. there doesnt seem to be any challenge in it at allYankeesNYC4lifeI hope there will be a demo for it. DR1 was terrible. Played it for 2h then i had to return it to gamestop before becoming braindead myself. Terrible, terrible game. I never understood what the hype was all about.
dead rising 2 looks pretty bad ass *** you hit submit a little bit too early there on your topic title :P

I loved it. It had flaws, serious flaws, but it's one of the rare games this gen that tried something new interms of gameplay. If the second is anything like the first, but with a proper save and checkpoint system, then bring it on. :D
i loved the first one, it was interesting just hope they got rid of the stupid timer and TC how is this system wars material?
from the few people who have posted in this thread i think that there missing the point of the game, the game isnt a super deep super complex story, its not a awe inspiringly good graphics type game, its a game where you screw around in, find fun ways to do insane stuff and just sit back, and kill zombies, think of it sort of like a sandbox zombie game, which is basically what it is :P, there few and far between so people shouldnt hate on them or else the genre will just dissapear, which wouldnt be good
From what I hear from the sites the game isint looking to hot in geniral. Like framy gameplay and so forth.

I thought the graphics were amazing, if you keep in mind the amount of enemies on screen. No game has come close imo.

Maybe no game has come close on consoles but PC has more enemies on screen in some games like the 1000+ unscripted ones in Arma 2.
There's a lot more to it than just killing zombies. You have a vast mall of weapons to kill them with in various ways. You can construct your own weapons, fight psychopaths, unravel the story behind the outbreak, rescue survivors etc.
I'd say it looks pretty good. Already preordered the CE.

I mean for consoles. :P One of the rare games to use the 360s CPU to it's fullest if I'm not mistaken.
I have also only heard pretty bad things about the game, but I'm still going to be optimistic for now. I'd like the game to not suck.
well yea me too, i hope it'll be good but from what ive seen and read about it, it doesnt look good.I have also only heard pretty bad things about the game, but I'm still going to be optimistic for now. I'd like the game to not suck.

you basically have your way with slow, mindless dummies. there doesnt seem to be any challenge in it at allYankeesNYC4lifeYou obviously never played the first one then. I think its too early to pass judgement on the game yet, nothing has been seen about it except for a few demos. People need to remember that the gameplay and such is from an early demo. The graphics should be better. As for it lookin too easy they made it that way so that they could show off some of the new weapons and such. Its supposed to have something like 6000 zombies on screen at a time, none of the demos have shown that number yet (What has been shown is less than DR1). Im a huge fan of the original, its one of my favourite games this gen. As Linkinguy_109 said this game is meant to be messed around in and had fun with. With the inclusion of Coop this game will only get more awesome.

i want the ce version too but I think getting the pc version because its cheaper and I can take pics of the game. only problem is there won't be enough retail versions for the pc then the consoles.

Im getting it for PC as well. From what I last heard there is no CE for PC T_TYou obviously never played the first game... or read The Zombie Survival Guide/World War Z. If anything, slow and incessant is worse than fast and easily dispatchable. The second game looks like just more of the same, with some improvements to the overall structure of the killing. I for one am glad to see not only the time limit, but the save system from the first game is intact... so I know it'll be worth more than a few play throughs.

It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it. [Sighs] zombies edging toward you from every corner, kids lookin up to you, maintaining good personal hygiene - It's not easy, but sometimes a man has to do what a man has to do. And that's killin' zombies. No they haven't and thank god. The timer is what added the tension and the challenge. They're also keeping survivors, psychopaths, fixed save points. The maps twice as big too. One of the best new IPs this gen.i loved the first one, it was interesting just hope they got rid of the stupid timer and TC how is this system wars material?

Do you realize what you said? No game has come close on CONSOLES.After what happened to Lost Planet 2, any hype I had for DR2 died lol I just had a feeling Capcom wasn't doing something right. I predict A (7.0)-RocBoys9489-Its being handled by a great developer with Inafune overseeing development.
I love dead rising, but capcom probably has completely different people working on the sequel. I guess we will see.
yeah, but there's LOTS and LOTS of slow mindless zombies... well, there should be, I've yet to see, the first game did a good job of overwhelming you with them... except the Wii version, because it didn't have the ability to do it, you can basically play the Wii version by running around everything from what I hearlamprey263Yeah, I still download the original demo on XBL sometimes :P just because it's so fun. They may be slow, but you really do get overwhelmed by them - you cannot really stand still. First game had flaws (thus why I don't have it anymore), mainly the difficulty and the save system.

Not if you're a master of zombie survival. :P 2nd playthrough and beyond would be for insane achievements like killing off the same number of zombies as there are people in the city. Worth trying? For most, probably not.
More serious post: I'm glad to see the time limit come back as it created morally grey decisions; your survival and story progression vs. their survival.
Don't see a problem with the save system as well. I mean, there's one washroom in each section of the mall aside from the park and tunnels in the first game in addition to the security room and Carlito's hideout. Think you took too long to save that person? Reload the game and try to save them more quickly. Trouble with a boss? You're probably under-equipped.
I think most people wrongfully put the blame on the save system rather than the AI of friendly NPC's which made rescuing them much longer than it should've taken. Commanding them to go ahead of you and staying still to secure the area around them rather than follow you into mayhem helped a bit, but even then, they have pathfinding issues e.g not going around zombies and objects, getting stuck in the Paradise/Wonderland shortcut.
you basically have your way with slow, mindless dummies. there doesnt seem to be any challenge in it at allYankeesNYC4lifeDid you play the first one?
the first one was the same way, and lots of people seemed to like it-The-G-Man-I thought the first one was quite the challenge.
