Both are great games, but Left4Dead has better coop and TONS of awesome versus modes online.
Id say Left4Dead2 is a 9/10 and Dead Rising 2 is a 8.5/10
Both great zombie games though imo!

[QUOTE="savagetwinkie"]i agree. the zombies in DR are more of an obstacle than anything else. I would argee untill the end of DR2.They are two completley different game types,
left 4 dead the zombies are actually dangerous, and you have to get to a safe zone but you don't really have to rush.
dead rising the zombies are kind of useless, but there are so many of them and your always on a time limit things can get a bit hairy, coupled with the inventory and there are really no reliable weapons
two different games where the pressure is from enemies vs setting really
clone01
I wont spoil it but boy.. they become MUCH harder later... ( not the night thing either)
How to survive a zombie apocalypse:
Most zombie games I can think of: Get gun and ammo that's conveniently placed in cabinets and drawers. Point and shoot. Humans aren't a threat.
Dead Rising 1 & 2 + Dead State: Get your hands on whatever you can that's useful. Move from place to place before you get swarmed. Avoid combat as much as possible; use weapons only in emergencies. Humans of the non-crazy variety are a moral and physical threat (No one's going to miss the crazy ones). To save or not to save someone isn't always an easy decision.
Dead Rising 2: Time isn't on your side as you also have to clear your name of charges of terrorism and get rare and medication for your daughter every 24 hours.
Dead State: More people saved means more people to feed. To feed more people, you need a larger team of searchers, meaning you need to save more people. A never-ending cycle. On top of your zombie and food problems, other groups are trying to cope with their own problems. Alliances aren't always possible, making them necessary enemies that are deadlier than the zombies.
Also no medication for the treating of the infected, forcing decisions that can cause conflicts with other survivors.

For fans of all things zombified, I'd say Dead State, but that's not out yet, so Dead Rising 2. :P
I always laugh when people say that DR2 is easier than DR1/2. This just shows they have no idea what they are talking about.IantheoneYou mean L4D2? I would say DR2 is easier than DR1 for me, because I've really been set on getting EVERY survivor and defeating EVERY psychopath because I remember I missed out on some of that in the last game. I'll probably get around to doing the same for DR1 though, except the A.I. sucked..

L4D
Pros
-Valve has a gift for creating interesting and distinct characters.
-Some of the best co-op there is
Cons
-Repetitive
-Enjoyment dependent on the people you're playing with
Dead Rising
Pros
-Campy (In a good way)
-Creative
Cons
-Time limit hurts the "kill zombies all you want" mechanic
-Can be frustrating
I'll have to play Dead Rising 2 before I give a verdict.

Umm, no.
[QUOTE="aaronmullan"]L4D > DR/DR2 > L4D2. I'd take all four though. SparkyProtocolI agree after finally buying L4D2. How is L4D better than L4D2? L4D is dependent on the tank or stupid survivors. Otherwise, the survivors make it every single time. The tank makes or breaks the game. If your tank sucks, your team loses. And that's not a good thing to base the game off of. L4D2 fixes that and makes the special infected more dangerous, thus needing more skill and team methods to finish the levels. L4D2 >>> L4D imo. L4D was great when it was released, but L4D2 is a lot better.
