Big reveal on Friday!
TBH I'm not exactly excited for it's MP, looks like it's gonna be the new trend. :(

how dissapointing, a game like dead space doesnt need multiplayer, its a stand alone singleplayer experience, thats what im looking forward to it for, i will refuse to touch any multiplayer component that they add on for the game because NOT EVERY GAME NEEDS MULTIPLAYER -__-(dead space 2 is the epitome of a game which does not need multiplayer)
games that are pure singleplayer still exist, they arent as big as they used to be though, vanquish is a game coming out in around a month thats singleplayer only, mafia 2 last month was singleplayer only, but one thing both of those games have in common that i think some people are missing the point of is when i hear certain people say "would be better with multiplayer" and my response to that is "no, no it would not be"Wasted time which could be used to make a better singleplayer game.
Days of pure singleplayer are over, now we get tacked on multiplayer like it or not.

Dead Space will be no better either. Whats worse is the amount of reviews from major sites which complain and mark down some singleplayer focused games for having no multiplayer, but not others, which is what leads to this tacked on multiplayer in the first place because they feel they have to.
Wasn't there even a rumour Mass Effect 3 might get multiplayer? If true its gone beyond a joke.
This could be good. Uncharted 2'smultiplayerwas a golden addition to the single player.
Could happen to DS2
Well, Uncharted 2 not only added MP, but the SP was improved and lengthened as well. If EA does the same then great, but I have doubts. I really hope the campaign in DS2 is at least as good as the 1rst.Look, umm...just take my word for it, don't get your hopes up for anything good. This could be good. dont know maybe MP is a good thing.... I played bioshock 2 muliplayer and is was actually decent to play with friends over live.

Yeah it was really, really repetitive if you think about it :P

to add on to insult, EA has also alter the experience of the game to a degree that will have alot of people upset. Its disspointing EA couldn't stick to a formula that made this series a hit with players.

Always was
But anyway apparently from what I read in Edge the team says it's not tacked on. I think it may work, like Alien VS Predator (of old that is)
wow -____- Bioshock 2 all over again.Sp4rtan_3The MP was pretty sad, but I thought the SP was still fantastic and in certain parts better than the first.
Well, horror probably just went out the window, it's now an RE5 style action game, anyhow, two of the top developers on Dead Space left the team to go work for Activision after the first game was over, I'm guessing that's why Dante's Inferno failed to impress most people because Visceral did so effing good with Dead Space people expected more. With those two guys gone the lack of talent for the rest is just as noticeable as when Itagaki's absence from Team Ninja showed in Metroid Other M.lamprey263Off topic: The very overrated Itagaki wouldn't have made that much of a difference (not that Other M was a bad game).
Resident Evil Outbreak disagrees. Even if the game bombed, the multiplayer kept the tension by only having predefined messages (lots of them and many many voices that you could only heart in the distance of the same room and a room nearby. It really was something good and I wish capcom would put 1&2 with online mode as digital download on stores :'(Don't add multiplayer to a survival horror gaes. That's a terrible idea.

He probably would have. He's not overrated. He always does exactly what he sets out to do. However, if you have a feud with him, and decide to not pay him his bonuses, he might just leave the sequel to the greatest action game ever unbalanced and untested.
I can't find campaign local co-op at all....other than GOW, Halo, Left for Dead etc from early gen. All the AAA w/ great graphics just doesn't have a full campaign multiplayer so not sure what you are talking about.Wasted time which could be used to make a better singleplayer game.

DS2 really doesn't need any kind of MP to be a good game. I guess this is to appeal to a wider audience :(racing1750
yeah theres nothing worse than games being accessible or more appealing to wider audiences :(
Well here is another nail in the survivor horror coffin.
jasonharris48
survival horror isnt dead fyi the game i linked right there just came out yesterday :P

Which is just another reason on a huge list of reasons why Vanquish is freakin amazing. It doesn't conform to the typical crap that most games do these days. I hope "gamers" have fun with their new COD of the week. I'm gonna be playing the future of shooters ;)

He's overrated besides Ninja Gaiden 1 (Black, which I do consider the best Action game). I didn't find anything else Itagaki worked on to be any good. I never cared for te DoA games (besides the remake of part 2) and Ninja Gaiden 2 was decent at best. This is my opinion of course and I do not expect you to agree with me.Off topic: The very overrated Itagaki wouldn't have made that much of a difference (not that Other M was a bad game).[QUOTE="lamprey263"]Well, horror probably just went out the window, it's now an RE5 style action game, anyhow, two of the top developers on Dead Space left the team to go work for Activision after the first game was over, I'm guessing that's why Dante's Inferno failed to impress most people because Visceral did so effing good with Dead Space people expected more. I'm not super excited about the multiplayer, but I am interested to see how it plays and if it'll be any good.
Here I thought Dead Space was going to be one of those games that would stay Single Player.
Oh well Extraction had Multiplayer.
Why is everyone so against a multi-player portion? It shouldn't take away from the single player. I could see a Horde-type mode being extremely fun. Considering that Dante's Inferno got one, I think that is likely practice for doing one in Dead Space 2. rolo107
But why would it be fun, when it's already in hundreds of other games, hm?
