So many games getting too many sequels, some of them dont need sequels. Dead Space falls under that category IMONengo_FlowHaven't played any Dead Space. But agree with the first sentence 100%
I hope they go to slow moving necromorphs. I haven't played DS2 much because it just doesn't replicate the horror feeling well. :(Mr_Cumberdale
They had a hell of a lot more, but faster? You lost me.. I've beaten both a good amount of times, and I don't remember that.
I find the atmosphere great, and a partner won't change that, so long as he keeps his mouth shut, or is only with you for a section here and there, but the game isn't that great in terms of being a horror game. A bit creepy, largely due to the atmosphere, but that's it.
edit: OR, cumberdale, do you mean in general for this time around? Make them slower, but take alot more damage? That could be neat. Wouldn't make ammo such a wasteful resource...
Dead Space was amazing and Dead Space 2 improved on the last, as long as the Dead Space 3 is high in quality I see no reason why it doesn't deserve more sequels. Blake135for me, I much preferred DS1 to DS2, and the fact that it's rumored that DS3 has co-op tells me that it will be even worse than DS2. Survival horror doesn't go well with co-op. I would have thought RE5 was a good lesson for that.

In movies, I found the slow moving zombies way more haunting than the "upgraded" modern zombies that run around at full speed all over the place. The slow ones were not much of a threat on their own but sooner or later one of them will get you

If so yes that will suck, if it's just a bonus and gives you the OPTION then that would be awesome. DS1 had a better atmosphere but to me DS2 improved everything else, with the look of DS3 and the setting of a Cold Planet the atmosphere could be better then DS2, hard to tell with the little knowledge we have.

Reminds me Carpenter's "The Thing". Even though I didn't like DS2 as much as DS1 I'm still a fan of the series so I'll still get it probably.
Shame that the great Dead Space series is getting EA'd.
Co-op and multiplayer in a horror game? They are inching it closer and closer to a shooter with every entry.
Dead Space is, if not my favorite, one of my favorite new series this gen. The combat just feels satisfyingly perfect, and while I know a lot of people hated the endless waves of enemies at the end of DS2, I found each encounter possessed a certain flow that was addicting to master.
I really hope they go to more horror instead of action. Too many horror games nowdays are all about action. They need to learn from Silent Hill.ShadowsDemon
Dead Space 2 was still very good despite EA forcing Visceral to tack on a multiplayer, but multiplayer and co-op is probably going to be to much for Visceral to handle, even Bioware cant handle the burden that is EA.
I still have faith in Dead Space 3, but im very nervous as to how much damage EA is going to do to the series.

Yeah, it was really good, and it's my favourite PS3 game. Got the platinum trophy for it. :)I really hope they go to more horror instead of action. Too many horror games nowdays are all about action. They need to learn from Silent Hill.ShadowsDemon
The game is said to have Co-op and a dodge and cover system.along with the ability to combine weapons. You can say goodbye to the Horror side of Dead Space.
Oh and @TC no ones excited now because we knew already

$hit. When the hell are horror developers going to learn from games such as Silent Hill? Honestly...[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"][QUOTE="ShadowsDemon"]I really hope they go to more horror instead of action. Too many horror games nowdays are all about action. So many games getting too many sequels, some of them dont need sequels. Dead Space falls under that category IMONengo_FlowIt didn't need a sequel, but it definitely needed another game. I wouldn't have minded if they just redid it with another story, but same concept. I love Dead Space. I don't know why people didn't like 2. The story wasn't that great, but the game was fun.
was thinking this earlier. So many annoncements and leaks ALREADY! and still like 3-4 more days to go :| Also i love dead space so bring it on... JUST DONT FORCE COOP INTO IT!! i want to be ALONE (that includes AI)At this rate they'll be nothing left to announce at E3.

More like when are the current silent hill developers going to learn from older Silent Hill games? :P anyways back on topic. I really don't like the new character from an asthetic standpoint. Looks very gears of war-ish. Also I hope to god that it isn't forced co-op like RE5. If it is there is a good chance I won't even bother with it. (This is coming from a guy who thought DS2 was one of last year's best games)
