Death match : Raiden VS Ryu Hayabusa

Ryu's seems like he would win, if for pure badassness alone. Unless Raiden got 100 times cooler in MGS4 from his MGS2 counterpart, which is the only way I could imagine Raiden winning.

It doesn't seem like he has, but actually Ryu would take raiden out...

Ryu's seems like he would win, if for pure badassness alone. Unless Raiden got 100 times cooler in MGS4 from his MGS2 counterpart, which is the only way I could imagine Raiden winning.

Raiden is actually 100 times cooler in MGS4, but Ryu is still stronger :p He sure has matured in this game.

have you played NG2? it doesn't seem like it. The kinds of creatures that Ryu fights don't even exist in the MGS games. He's been to hell and back (more than once) fighting some of the most badass and nastiest enemies.

since the jury is out on ryu vs raiden....what about ryu vs grey fox?

i'll say ryu once again. i mean, snake could beat him in a fist fight...

Think of it this way.

Ryu's such a good ninja, he doesn't even have to be stealthy to kill everything.

Considering that Ryu Hayabusa has defeated the Devil, and plenty of other enemies that by any simple measure would be far more powerful than he is, I can't imagine how Raiden could beat him.

And Ryu took on hordes of werewolve looking things after defeating their boss, to put it in perspective one of these wolf things couldn't be beat by a gladiator. Oh and the boss Ryu killed before could slaughter more then 2 dozen humans in one swipe of his arm.

If you put Ryu Hayabus in any game. Most likely the game would be easier. But if you put any of the character's you can compare him to in his game they are so royally screwed. Have Snake or Raiden ever had to go against 12 enemies at a time, 2 of which have muitocket launchers that fire in pairs of 12 and do not need to be reloaded. Cause that is seriously about every fight in chapter 8 of Ninja Gaiden 2.

Obviously, you haven't played NG2. Sorry, Ryu would massacre Raiden. Its a good thing Raiden can fight without limbs cause after fighting Ryu he'd have none left and would be fighting with that sword in his teeth... until Ryu chopped his head off. Riaden is badd ass for sure, but Ryu is a freaking nightmare - he's death on two legs. Temple of Sacrfice staircase is all I got to say!

Actually ryu has fought with even greater odds than that.

ROUND #1 - The bell sounds Ryu comes to the center of the ring for the Japanese custom bow to show sportsmanship. Raiden also makes way to the center of the ring and starts to bow but in a lightning fast upward move swoosh... by Ryu with his katana sword. For some reason Raiden was expecting that also with his lighting quick reflex (slow motion) bends back with a somersault move at the same time his legs are coming up towards Ryu's chin (keep in mind Raiden's feet apparel contain a blade at the tip) with a force so hard and fast Ryu did not see it. KO

Raiden in the first round (00.06.36 seconds) wins by decapitation KO. Lets hope that dragon blood can save RYU lol for the rematch?
