Death Stranding leads GOTY list + Every game can win GOTY this year

Well, this thread just got more entertaining than I anticipated. Carry on.

As for Days Gone, according to Yahtzee and a YouTuber named Quite Shallow (who was responsible for that glitch montage that got 4 million views), Days Gone seems to be a "painfully generic" open world game with a couple of half-interesting ideas that never went anywhere, a whiny unlikeable protagonist, atrocious AI, and a bazillion bugs and glitches. Not very GOTY material. If anything, the big gaming press might have been a bit kind to the game.

Not much of an opinion on Death Stranding. Lots of people seem to like it, lots of people seem to hate it. Marmite, the video game. Kinda think Kojima's currently going; "Oh my God I can't believe it actually worked and people actually like this thing" and laughing his arse off.

The "great replacement" conspiracy theory has been debunked by academics as a white-nationalist myth, time and time again...

As for Days Gone, it's trash that doesn't deserve to be considered for GOTY. You wrecked your own argument the moment you brought up that piece of trash. There are far better "white male" games (e.g. Devil May Cry 5) that were overlooked. But instead you chose to zero-in on trash like Days Gone, destroying your own argument.

The EU is over 90% white. The EU is far less racially diverse than the US (around 70% white). It's only a handful of big EU cities that match the diversity of the US. Outside of the big cities, the EU is largely homogenous and white.

Birth rates are declining across the world, not just Western countries. Birth rates are declining across Europe, North & South America, Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and Australasia. The only part of the world where birth rates haven't declined is Sub-Saharan Africa. As countries develop, birth rates fall. Economics 101.

Like I already told you, Death Stranding has a white male protagonst and almost entirely white main cast. So it's a dumb example to bring up.

Yeah, the video has 40K thumbs-up vs. 10K thumbs-down from butthurt alt-right who are allergic to facts. Big deal. Facts don't care about your feelings.

I've enjoyed DS so far, but I'm pretty indifferent to Kojima. That being said, seeing so many people get their jimmies rustled over a game that they don't have to buy or play.
