2016 - PS4 exclusive Uncharted 4

2017 - Nintendo exclusive BOTW

2018 - PS4 excsluive GoW

2019 - PS4 exclusive Death Stranding

2020 - PS4 exclusive The Last of US 2

2021 - PS5 exclusive Deathloop.

Its mind boggling that 5 out of the last (6!) GOTY winners have been exclusive to PS. I wonder if one system has ever dominated this much?

Its almost a shame Elden Ring will win GOTY everywhere that matters in 2022. If it didn't exist then GOW: Ragnarok would be GOTY and that would make 6 of the last 7 GOTY winners PS exclusive.

WOW! Playstation is obliterating its competition. No wonder sheep are permanently butthurt and have to create threads asking who makes the best exclusives. I think its clear who makes the best exclusives. Its Sony, and its not even close.

It’s a MS game that’s temporary exclusive to the competing console (excluding pc) . I can see some mental gymnastics with this scenario.

You see when someone pays 7 billion they buy everything not everything but one timed exclusive, Starfield has been in development for years along with TES6,and yip they are XBS games too.

Oof. Was just listening to SkillUp's video while clearing some relics. Reviews are ultimately opinions, and his one is harsh, but if his complaints are indeed valid, I gotta wonder what Gamespot and IGN were smoking while reviewing this.

nope. IGN and gamespot right. game is not perfect but for once they gave 10 to one of the most innovative, creative and refreshing game.

What an interesting game deathloop.... I can only imagine the most committed fanboys trying to figure out how to think through this one. It's pretty awesome.

If you're a fan of video games though, deathloop is something to be celebrated.

That said, considering SkillUp explained his points in detail in his video instead of just randomly throwing words like "innovative" and "creative" around until they lose all meaning, I'm inclined to disregard certain opinions - and it's not IGN's or Gamespot's.

Deathloop isn't on Xbox console...yet. It is time exclusive to PS5. Even if it does come to GP late this year, it'll mostly be forgotten by than due to newer games taking the spotlight for all we know.

Theres never been a single FPS that play like Deathloop in past. none.

Mate, aside from the fact it's just Dishonored with guns meets Majora's Mask (and that's disregarding Deathloop's lack of MM's urgency and real time progression), as the video mentioned, it's not even Arkane's first attempt at a time loop "immersive sim." This thing is just Prey's DLC, extended into a full game with a 60's coat of paint and worse.

And even if it was a new idea, execution matters. Peanut butter with pasta is technically a new idea. And with the right execution you could probably make a tasty dish based on peanut butter and pasta. But if you don't execute, you're just going to get pretty much exactly what you'd imagine peanut butter on pasta tastes like. You don't get points for a new idea if it's just peanut butter on pasta.

As I said in another thread, you need to get out more.

No surprises there, since the game scored a 10. I am looking forward to playing it one day, but I am far more excited about Far Cry 6 and the rumoured Bioshock 4.

I've been meaning on trying this game, but with my current backlog and a busy-bee life, hard to squeeze it in. Maybe next year when it's on sale.

@davillain-: as Pedro said, its available on MICROSOFT windows. It's a Microsoft game running on Microsoft OS. Next year will be the improved xbox series x version, 12 tflop > 9 tflop.

If something is exclusive, it is only on one platform. Deathloop is on Microsoft Windows PC. Therefore, not exclusive. Please stop being salty.

Yup, Xbox hasn't had any exclusives. And PS is also almost completely out of exclusives as well. But I am glad Sony is putting all their PS5 games on PS4 and PC. It's a win win for the consumer. The more people that get to play MS and Sony games, the better! Sony was smart to buy all those PC port developers that is for sure! Not to mention, changing their mind on generations and supporting the PS4 with first party games for 3-4 years.
