[QUOTE="AltAcct"]That's just silly  They both play the same games.... That's a pretty sweet computer, though. That could play anything.

You're absolutly right. Dead rising ... wait not on PC... gears 2.. wait not on PC... fight night r3... wait NOT on pc.. gta4 wait, not on PC... wow, so they have 3 games that are cross platform. you are so bang on the money with your statement of utter truth.... or maybe you need to reevaluate yourself as a human being sicne being human, u must posess some level of intelligence.

[QUOTE="Jandurin"][QUOTE="Teufelhuhn"]I don't really see how this makes sense. "Hey you just dropped 3 grand on this PC for playing games, now here's your 360!"Jandurin

I know. I don't get it.

Well, just using ONE good reason...these have Vista and 360's are Media Center Extenders (well, so was the 1st Xbox if you bought something extra). So you could set the PC to record TV shows, then stream them into another room on the 360.

you could just buy an uber cheap second PC to do that. And also use it for a download center.

Yeah, you could. But they aren't giving you a 2nd PC free. They are giving you an Elite! I see them as a good match, personally.

That seems a little pointless if you ask me. Not a lot of people buy $3000 gaming laptops. The HDTV bundle is better

Coming from a hermit "WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY"

seriously you can get a better case, internal components, screen and 360 and ps3 for less than that.

You never get anything free from Dell they don't have a set price. Everyday the price changes. With that said I'd rather have a couple hundred off an XPS machine than get an X360. Infact Elite would be a huge step down from an XPS gaming computer.

lolololol Dead Rising - fine >_> I was speaking in general. What does the 360 have, like 3 games that aren't the PC and thus wouldn't play better with that setup? Gears 2 - isn't on ANY system, smart guy. Fight night - lame game is lame. GTA 4 - another point, but purposefully. PURPOSEFULLY. Missing the point of my post.

[QUOTE="Tjeremiah1988"]lol, wut? I really dont see how this is a good thing. spinecaton

You see it as a bad thing then? Please explain.

You see the prices of the PC's you have to buy? You get get a PC with just as good specs, a 360 and a PS3 and probably still have money left over for the same price as the cheapest one...

why not *just* buy a computer if you've got that sort of cash?

but why *just* buy a computer for that price when you can get a 360 for the same price? its common sense, use it!

As a media center, a PC is more useful than a 360. Even a crappy one.

I propose that we don't include these bundled Xbox 360 Elite consoles in the overall Xbox 360 sales.

$2000 for a computer seems like rapefest pricing. A normal $600 pc could easily do all the non-gaming aspects... +300 for 360... thats $900. There is no pc game (or console game) worth $1100 extra cost. Hell, i'd say that aren't any 10 games that'd justify an $1100 system cost.

I just want to play it fair. If we are going to not count Wii Play and Wii Sports and what not because they are bundled, we must do the same for other products of similar nature.

Vv, I'm not lol just posted the news bite but I would like to know your thoughts on getting a sweet laptop for gaming.

I just can't get myself to buy another desk top.

Could be very interested in a very sweet portable that I could also use for gaming.:)

Obviously, not a Dell or for that matter, any other overly priced gaming rig.

isn't that a bit redundant?

Its like giving you a PS2...witha purchase of a 60GB PS3.

Laptops are naturally inferior when it comes to gaming, but they have their own advantages. Laptops are great for portability and are even better for lans. If you have a decent laptop you're not as restricted in movement as you may be with a desktop. (Even though there are portabl MICRO ATX cases out there). Laptops are prone to getting really hot when you're gaming on them, so you have to be careful about the playtime. Not only that , but the battery life can be a bit iffy. Some gaming PCs only get about 3-4 hours of battery life all things considered. Maybe less. Gaming laptops have their pros and cons, but if you're looking for a portable gaming device with the power of a computer with a few drawbacks then I would recommend going for it.

Thanks a bunch for the info. am considering just such a purchase as it serves me two distinct purposes - obviously gaming being the priority - lol j/k lil bit.

Well, Wii Sports shouldn't count except in Japan. But, Wii Play DOES count.

It would be cheaper to buy a 360 elite and build your own PC. :|

So, who do you think is helping who? Is MS desperately trying to move units, or is Dell using MS to push their overpriced PCs?
