So whens this game coming out?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Demon's Souls officially became "teh awesome" when Eurogamer gave it a 9/10.
Evidentally from reviews, this game is going to be a juggernaut of a title.
Its useless to do so now, just pre order and recieve all the free goodies unless you dont like free stuff then import. It's already out and fully voiced in English. You just have to import it.

Just read the review, this game sounds a lot more interesting than I originally expected.
And one very interesting point....maximum level is 712?!?

And with enemies who can one-hit-kill you, my guess is that getting there won't be easy :?
I own the game...keep in mind that in the end it will cost you about 200 dollars not 60...gotta take broken controllers into account.
Out of frustration or button mashing? I don't like frustratingly hard games I like a challenge but not a ridiculous one.I own the game...keep in mind that in the end it will cost you about 200 dollars not 60...gotta take broken controllers into account.

Some play styles are much more forgiving than others. Getting to max level requires a lot of grinding. I'm on my 2nd play with a good amount of grinding and am a level 170. I focus on getting through the sections and then do leveling by grinding in certain choice areas.[QUOTE="brennan7777"]Out of frustration or button mashing? I don't like frustratingly hard games I like a challenge but not a ridiculous one. I really don't find the game that frustrating, but it really comes down to how you play it though. The game isn't cheap. When you die you died because of what you did not because the game screwed you over. Also you can't just run in and try to button smash because almost any enemy can take you out.I own the game...keep in mind that in the end it will cost you about 200 dollars not 60...gotta take broken controllers into account.

lol if you try button mashing you won't even make it past the tutorial.
Definantly out of frustration but I think Demon's Soul's is the only un-missable game for hardcore gamers this generation, it's a gem. But from the sound of it maybe games like Oblivion and Fallout are more for you,This gameis nothing likethose gamesin my opinion, but at the same time DS isn't like any other game I've played this gen either..
I was not interested in this game until I read that review. This looks like a must have as of now...

Yeah, but you can't play with localization users on the Asian version.
You don't get to choose who you play with and there's no voice chat for the gamei checked the videos about it and i don't see what seem so good about the gameplay, but i need jrpg so badly so i might rent it first

Nah I actually hate those two games the pacing is soo off in them. I might check this game out i just hope it's good.I must say, this game came as quite a surprise to me. I remember when the game was first announced and it was either totally ignored or dismissed even by the cows. Now it's one of the most anticipated games of '09 ('10?). This will be one of my most-buys along with Uncharted 2.

I believe it comes out this October
lulz this game isn't for those who play Oblivion or Fallout. those are for casuals. Demon's Souls will consume your time and your patience. the online is awesome, though. seamless co-op ftw. oh and playing as a demon boss in a one-on-one deathmatch online is teh sh!t! @_@ being blue phantoms is crazyyyy cool as well. and don't forget stealing other people's souls (too risky though lulz you either gain the other's or lose all your souls). this is a very polished game. i mean, the actions you make online changes your world tendency in your campaign. how cool is that? but really, it's like a campaign with seamless co-op. so badass. and nope, can't button mash, cant run (youll run out of stamina), cant just swing sword (youll run out of stamina), cant block all the time. damn. frustrating at first but once you get the hang of it it's pretty rewarding. i got the korean version. menus+voices+all texts are in english.
Quick question for those that have the game. When you play co-op and die, can your teammates revive you or do you have to start all over again from the beginning of the dungeon?

thats bad.. i hope a patch eventuallygets released fixing that... i would like playing the game with friends first..
I admit wasnt interested in the game until a month ago, seems like i'll hate to get the game afterall :)
demons souls its amazing and hard game the best jrpg this gen today [QUOTE="SionPT"]CTR360
Easily, it's one of the best games ever made.
It's the best game this gen without question and up there with some of the greatest titles ever made like Mario Bro, Shenmue, MGS 1,2, 3, FF7, Panzer Dragoon II Zwei, Grandia II, Flash back, Donky Kong Countryetc. And since no other games from this gen are evenapproaching those games, that's pretty high praise comming from me.
When I played Demon's Soul's I made this personal comment to myself, "fianally a game that validates the creation of these next generation systems"
you cant play with people on your friends list? really ?[QUOTE="ultraking"]

you don't pick who you play with directly off of your friends list, but random people don't join your game to co-op, only to kill you. The Co-Op soul signs will be on the ground at the beginning by each archstone and when you click on one, it gives the username and the stats. So you can sync it up easily to play with some friends via ps3, or you can just pick a random. You can co-op with up to 3 people as well.

It's not a problem to need fixing (your thinking is wrong)as it was an intentional implamentation of the game. This isn't COD or Halo3 if you're playing Demon's Soul's...and That's what you'll get.
The developers INTENDED for it to be like this (to create the feeling of being alone amoung annonamous dead souls) and it dosen't need "fixing". At first when I played the game I thought alot of things needed fixing...then I realized that for a game to be this awsomely crafted the developers couldn't have NOT known about the simple things that I thought needed "fixing". In the end I realize that everything they did was to create the unmistakable world that is Demon's Soul's.
Asking them to change it now or add to it to fit your own prefrences is a slap in the face to all they have done to craft this game to become what it is.
BTW
(that's the problem with gamers today and why Im glad this game was low key so they didn't to gamers who have these "ideas" of how a game "should" be influence the develpers. that's the problem with most high profile games today they (developers)are under pressure to gave fans what they think they want and end up compromising their creativity and end up giving fansthe same ol run of the mil crap that we gamers are used to seeing today. I'm glad Demon's Soul's was under the radar because other wise it might not be what it is today.)
