Why bother asking? You aren't really interested in anyone else's opinion, you just want some sychophants to agree with you and make you feel validated in your opinion.
The only great thing i see from that game is it difficulty other than that it look like a dungeon dragon garbage :(. Borderlands is coming sooner and it looks way better than this.Syferonikborderlands comes out half a month later
i also hyped metroid prime 3 bioshock and too human .... ugh, you're right.JandurinToo Human? :o I didn't expect that.
I completely agree. I've went through 6 playthroughs on it, and still find it hard to put the controller down.

Meh, I rather have a action game then a FPS.
[QUOTE="IronBass"]The game looks terrible, . Besides, Jandurin is hyping it, and that's NOT a good sign :PJandurini also hyped metroid prime 3 bioshock and too human .... ugh, you're right. Too Human was unrightfully bashed. It may not be an amazing game, but it only garnered that much hate because of the hype. Anyway.... **runs for his life**

Too Human better than BioShock? BioShock was a striped doen version of System Shock 2 but it is far better than Too Human.
The games not even out yet. What are you talking about? KOTOR was a great RPG and so was NWN, and DQ VIII. So, yes I know what a great RPG is.Anyone agree if not you obviously don't know what a good RPG

Best Hack'n'Slash in a while? Probably.
Best RPG in a while? I think not.

Hack'n'Slash are you kidding if you think Demon's souls is about Hack'n'Slash only then you will never pass the first stage DS is simply the best RPG of 2009.
So where are the RPG elements in it (like for example: focus on story, dialogues and conversations etc. etc.)? The main focus of the game is around monster killing, and that's what hack'n'slash games are about...Anyone agree if not you obviously don't know what a good RPG

Isn't that opinionated? I usually find action RPGs bad, but I'm still picking this up to support Atlus.
You should buy it to Support From Software. Most of their games go under the radar unless they are named Armored Core. Otogi and Lost Kingdoms 2 were two of the finest games last gen and hardly anyone knew about them. i personally doubt that this game sells well, despite the fact that it will likely be pretty damn good.So where are the RPG elements in it (like for example: focus on story, dialogues and conversations etc. etc.)? I'm not saying that it's a bad game or something, but I believe a game needs more than only a fun and challenging gameplay to be considered the best RPG of no matter what time period.[QUOTE="Yandere"][QUOTE="heylokbing"]

In the action-rpg genre, it's probably the best since diablo 2. but there hasn't really been too many action-rpgs. I played it from about march
as of now, I think it's one of the best this gen, but there's still WAY more promising titles such as ff13, resonance of fate, and white knight chronicles coming out..justto name a few. Awesome game nonetheless and a 10/10 in my book.

The game wasn't originally set to come to North America, and I believe From Software even stated that it wasn't going to. It wasn't until it started selling out on the Import websites that Atlus decided it was a good idea to bring it here. If anyone recalls preordering, I preordered through playasia 2 weeks before the release late feb, and I got an email 3 days before the release stating that there were too many preorders and they didn't predict that they would outsell their quota or w/e. So they gave me 10% off and said I wouldn't get it until late march.
So I cancelled that and got it from ebay because many of the websites were on backorder for quite a few months.

I totally agree and I'm no RPG fan at all. Infact I rarely ever even give an RPG the time of day, but this game is an action RPG and it looks really-really good.

WRPGs (not those like diablo or other hack'n'slash games) are all about storytelling, character development, dialogues and choices and consequences (take Planescape: Torment for instance). It's not like having a good gameplay in rpgs is a bad thing, but always when I pick up a rpg game, I expect at least a decent story which will keep my interest and attention to the end of the game, even when the gameplay would start to become boring.Demon's Souls gameplay doesnt get boring. There is a story but it simply serves as for your reason for doing things. The game isnt driven by a strong narrative with plot twists. The game is driven by its great gameplay with the dungeon crawling and awesome boss fights.WRPGs (not those like diablo or other hack'n'slash games) are all about storytelling, character development, dialogues and choices and consequences (take Planescape: Torment for instance). But IMO it's not enough to call it the best RPG in a while (and that is why I call it a hack'n'slash).[QUOTE="herezjarchus"]

Goddamnit, the more and more I hear about how good DS is it makes me want to get it so bad. Far too many RPG's coming out this holiday. I mean Alpha Protocol, Borderlands, Dragon Age, and Demon's Souls?
Not to mention The Witcher which I've barely touched.
**** me. And haven't even gotten into the other awesome games coming out.
