Despite I love MGS4 alot.....

Weak gunplay

Tacked on VATS system to try and fool old school fans and lovers of AP

Useless skills to waste skill points on

Horrendous story

Idiotic moral choices

Repetitive missions that have you going into subways that are copy/pasted

Way to similar to oblivion. This game could be a mod, and that's just wrong.

Lack of fallout humor and "spirit"

Extremely casualized gameplay. FO1 and FO2 weren't popular because of their brain dead gameplay

Superficial character customization. No matter what skills you get, each character plays exactly the same

Pointless AP. Why do I need AP when I can just shoot people even when im out of AP?

Terrible enemy AI. The algorith cant be more complicated than this:

While (EnemyHp > 0)

...If (EnemyHp is less than 30%)

......EnemyFlee

...Else

......If EnemyGun = true

.........EnemyShoot

......Else

.........EnemyCharge

End

Fallout 3 is an amazing game, but IMO, MGS4 is better and i dont feel that it got robbed. besides, FO3 won GOTY on IGN, that oughta make you happy right?idontbeliveit

Fallout 3 / GTAIV got the most nods overall for GOTY.

it's a shame, that with the reduced staff at GS, all we were left with was MGS hardcore fans as staff... that's why ya don't call them 'journalists' :P.

Well Fallout 3 did win RPGoTY.

Besides MGS4 is an exclusive, plus since the PS3 version didn't get the same score as the other two versions, it probably hurt it chances.

I loved F3 but it has far more shortcomings then MGS4. Am a little biased but MGS4 was perfection for me. F3 is awesome and in any other year it would take the crown but with MGS4 there its that much better then anything else.
