Lostrib is actually awesome, i enjoy him using logic and such on fanboys such as I. Though i don't think he ever actually called me out, but its impossible since i let my words prove how much of a cow I am. MOOOOOO PUNKS

Just got a Wii U, aint got time for a demo. will pick it up though in september. was not that impressed with the alpha. has the beta changed much?
I've been playing the beta and it has changed my view of this game dramatically. it's a lot better than i thought. although the graphic is something we've already seen last gen, but what caught my attention is the huge scale of the maps which makes up for it. it does feel next gen when comes to gameplay and scale. for some strange reason i found it to be addicting, but sadly this game is not for any casual gamers or people with a busy life. It's MMO so expect for it to be long and contain huge amount of options. you probably have no life after getting too involve with Destiny, because it will eat up your time. I remember checking the clock and it was 2am. Played the game then checked the clock again to my suprise it was 5am. thought i was seeing things. having too much fun will cause you to lose track of the time.

Yarp. It should be on the dashboard. That's where it showed up for me. Download and play.

Cool, thanks but not sure I'll get to it this weekend, next week I'll give it a go.
lollostrib thread.
No, no @lostrib! They're laughing at you, not with you!
@SecretPolice:
Ends on the 27th (Sunday) by the way mate.
Well, according to some blurb I read as I loaded it up.
It's alright. I dunno. I'm failing to see the awesomeness of it.
The story is practically non existent, the 'missions' are all exactly the same etc.
The game tricks you into thinking the it's an open world by allowing alternate paths but those paths often contain enemies leveled much higher than you, forcing you down a 'corridor' of leveled enemies towards your next objective.
Not only that but each new 'mission' just warps you back to the part of the map where you finished the last one.
Every boss is just a bigger guy with more health and a better weapon surrounded by little guys.
I like how you can summon the vehicles wherever you want.
@dommeus: I thank you for the info and shucks, I may need to make some time just to give it a try and see what I think. It all depends since I am supposed to be on the water this weekend eh, we'll see.
Thanks again my friend. :)
Played it for a little bit last night on PS3. Definitely has a borderlands feel with a bit of a Mass Effect vibe
Now if only I could shoot worth a damn with a controller
I feel severely gimped with a controller...after playing all FPS on a PC for years. Since Doom.
I'm really not interested in getting competitively good with a controller either. It just feels so wrong in so many ways compared to a mouse. To me.
It serviceable. Not being able to snap / twitch shoot for me is just wrong.
@b4x:
Make you you get the best version possible, the PS4 with extra content available now, not available on other platforms.
I'm passing. If it comes to PC I'll pick it up. I play mainly RPG's, sports, platformers, and action games on Consoles. I had surgery on both of my hands for carpal tunnel. I'm really not a competitive Console shooter guy.
I have zero interest really.

So i guess you're not getting the MC collection nor Sunset Overdrive then,. Pity.

Yeah. My son will play Online in Halo. I'll play the coop single player with him. I don't feel Sunset overdrive is a competitive shooter and has a lot of plat-forming elements. It's a must have. That game is more my speed on consoles. All my competitive shooters are PC only.

Destiny isn't a competitive shooter either. You dont have to go to the PVP areas and can play most SP content solo.
I might have to pick this one up.
Was never too interested in this, but the beta is doing a good job of convincing me.

Same. Before the beta came out I wasn't even a little interested and decided to give it a shot cos someone gave me a code, now it might just be day 1 for me lol
Pretty underwhelming beta. The real game is gonna need a lot more variety in missions if its even going to be remotely interesting.
Yep missions are boring as **** without friends. I'm more into the PvP side of the game, which surprises even me
@seanmcloughlin: yeah missions are as shitty as it gets and listening Peter D for the whole entire game will be a pain in the ass but im sure (or i at least hope so) there will be a lot of challenging Strikes for great co-op.
Have only played a little of it, but that was only because I got bored. I don't think I've played an FPS that I really enjoyed a lot since Killzone 3.
I'll give it some more time to grow on me.

Same with me. It went from not being on my radar at all to maybe a day one buy.

I played a round of PvP and it was alright. I dont like domination in these types of shooters though.
The Devils Lair the last mission? That went quick.I liked it a lot. Still need to check out PvP.
No doubt thisll come to PC with that interface system.

KEEP FIRING. HEAL. I HOPE THAT SLUT DOESN'T HEAL US.
It was like Black Hawk Down with more freedom.
Well, this beta ate me alive. Even though I got to level 8, I decided to try different weapons and to power them up. There's a lot to do in this game even when there's not a lot to do lol.
Oh, I solo'd a Walker at the end if the Moscow level. Took FFXI amounts of patience to do it, but I pulled off a win. Didn't drop anything cool, which was a bummer.
Yeah, I was hyped for this game but also undecided about it. Now that I've seen the possibilities and where this is going, I'm going to go ahead and preorder. This open beta did the trick.
Wow the PS3 version doesn't even hold a candle to the PS4 version.
yes, it looks rather shitty
It actually hurts my eyes playing the PS3 version after the PS4 version.
One thing I like about the game is that it has MMO story/quest part and a pvp part that feels like a typical Halo or COD. Its a good mix and I was surprised by it.
I've been playing the ps3 version, I dont have ps+, But Ill pick it up for ps4 when it comes out, ps3 version looks bad compared to xbone and ps4, and it hurts my eyes.
Open to all...except herms. :)
Thans for beta testing :)
Thanks for the proper spelling. :-)
The beta is pretty good and kinda hard at times especially when I play the explore missions. I hate having to face level 8+ enemies in the explore mission.I found a decent, but not perfect weapon combination to take out higher level enemies anyway. I die a lot at times when I play the beta.

are you under level8? Because i personally thought and hope the final game is much much harder than what is available in the beta. This game needs at least two or preferably 3 more difficulties or getting that rare loot isn't even gonna be worth it since you can do anything with Uncommon items. If you're starting from level 1, solo and do the campaign on hard (enemies normally higher than you're) then yes its difficult but that's because you don't have any good weapons yet and play solo. With descent weapons and played in co-op there's zero challenge anywhere in the beta but pvp but that doesn't exactly count.
Meh! It's done by the same people behind halo, doubt it's any good.
How so?
Good is about as subjective a term as possible. Equally saying "doubt its any good" implies Halo is bad, how anyone can go as far as to say Halo is bad beyond me. It has its flaws but I dont think any of those flaws are serious enough for it to fall into the bracket of being a bad game. Duke Nukem forever is a bad game. Halo is one of the most well put together games in the genre. Not necessarily the best, but certainly not bad.

I'm actually over level 8 now. The only mission that still gives me an issue at level 8 is the explore mission.Especially that section with multiple level 8+ enemies since I mostly play solo.

I'm guessing he's referring to how you can continue to level your class abilities after you hit the level 8 cap.
