Destiny is the only good game out this gen so far.

I put like over 300 hours into it. It has everything a good game should have...plus the really well-made, addicting, polished gunplay mechanics Bungie is known for. I can't wait for Destiny 2...oh wait, I can because there is still so much to do in the current game.

How can you put 300 hrs in a game a repetitive as Destiny?

Its a 7/10 worthy game. Compared to TW3, BB, MGS5 etc its a laughable joke of a game.

I'm not gonna lie, I do enjoy playing Destiny every now and then but I sure as hell won't say it's the best FPS game from last year, that's for sure. The Destiny is a very flaw game but however, the gameplay and the classes are very well done, so I'll give it credit for that. Hey bro, if you really love Destiny, more power to you. I just can't see myself hitting over 300 hours and I'm still playing The Taken King until Halo 5 is release then I'm taking a break from Destiny.

If you have started playing this Gen and all that you have is a PS4 then maybe the answer is yes.

I wanted to like Destiny. I really did but it was a letdown for me cause it was a short main campaign, the leveling system after 20 was a turn off, repetitive and it was almost identical to Borderlands in terms of the collecting guns but worse. Maybe the Taken King changed things around in a positive way but at the moment I am not interested with going back to it.

Pretty much. Just about everything else sucks.

I really like Destiny, I went through an addiction period months ago and I have purchased the TK, however I have not played it yet, I may wait until 2016 as I have a lot on my plate now.

Destiny is, at its core, a loot based game, and this is why many people do not enjoy it. People don't like to grind, but with a well designed loot based game this is the fun for me, trying out higher difficulties with different combination of weapons/skills, etc. The team work aspect with others to take down tougher foes is also fun for me.

MGSV (on PS4), The Witcher 3 (On PS4), Bloodborne (on PS4), Bayonetta 2 (Not on PS4) and what else? I'm not even sure what I'd put in there, but might as well also be avaible on PS4.

Conclusion? 3-4 out of 5 of this generation's best games are on PS4. I'm not crying, just pointing out that Salt the Fries is an idiot.

@Mozelleple112: Underate and Pillars of Eternity are very highly rated too. Don't get me wrong, I love my PS4 but it ain't a one stop shop.

I myself have come to like Destiny a great deal, it's 300 hours of gameplay good depending on the person but a fun game overall. And even though I feel I have to defend it against people who have no interest, and I myself was in the same position before I finally gave it a shot. That being said, I'm not going to overcompensate and say nothing else has been good. That's bullshit. I got my Xbox One less than a year ago and I've been playing plenty of good games.

Why doesn't TC list everything they've played so far this gen, that way we can tell if the problem is whether TC wouldn't know a good game even if they played it, or maybe TC is just picking bad games... well, both would just mean one thing, TC is not a gamer, guess we won't be needing that list after all.

I have to admit the new content has finally made it more interesting. I've always liked it, it's had more of its fair of issues and annoyances but as far as shooters go it's pretty damn solid. I ain't gonna hate on that, I like a good shooter. It's a game where you run around and shoot shit and the shooting is good.

Multiplayer and Gameplay wise Destiny probably has it beat. Destiny's Campaign though was one of the worst things to come from this gen so it's not really a big feat to say Halo 4 had a better campaign.

Destiny was a terrible game at launch and after heaps of updates and expansions is only decent.

I could see preferring Destiny for co-op but Halo 4 is a better game.

Eh, I just found Halo 4 underwhelming compared to Reach.

I admittedly bought TTK, and Destiny is actually a much better game now. There's quite a good variety of objectives and ways to earn legendaries this time around. The strike bosses are only marginally better though, and I can still see things getting repetitive. I'm excited to play the raid this weekend. Vault of Glass was one of the few great things about the base game.

I'd rank Destiny pretty low on my favorite games this gen, even with the expansion.

That's funny, and I've been playing the game longer than you have.

The art direction is one of my biggest letdowns with regards to Destiny. The world feels very sterile and lifeless for some reason that's difficult to articulate completely. Some of the guns sure look cool though.
