Not interested. Got burned by the game when it first came out with the lack of content. Won't buy the taken king no matter what improvements they made. Bungie has lost me as a customer which is sad because I loved all the halo games they made over the years.

Why are people supporting this game? How much is it for each DLC? I played this in the early days of its release and couldn't stand all the grinding. Add to it having no story or soul whatsoever and I don't get why people are throwing money away for this game. Something just feels off/wrong with the way this game is from the way its marketed from the grinding.....can't put my finger on it.

and it still has a fraction of actual players compared to Dota2, League, or WoW (and countless others). That drop off. That lack of sustain.

That 5.0 King.

Comparing free to play games that rely on dlc to be profitable.....

... poor excuse.... doesn't even apply to WoW ... which is more expensive than Destiny....

Got the 2nd dlc and the expansion for $35 from a friend. Can't believe i came back to this mindless shooter after seven months. Will see for how long it keeps me occupied. For now, its not "boring" but will see how it'll go after 10-15h

@finalstar2007: "Why? Its a GREAT game with almost an infinite replayability besides the game finally has a proper story mode! the characters you can interact with now, it has humor and its simply a new game."

Of course a key note here is the fact that the taken king isn't actually on disc on any version of the game its a download only, So that fancy new retail edition? yeah its a download code on all the systems.
The ps4 version all the dlc is in code format, you then have to download a 18 gig or so update file which contains the 3 dlc's.

it's funny how a lot of the hate for this game comes from hermits talking about it's a ripoff when they paid $15 a month for garbage ass world of Warcraft plus the price of expansions for 10 years. Lol who are you fooling?

Bungie and Activision confirms Destiny: Taken King broke day 1 most downloaded game (dlc) in gaming history and set a new day-one franchise benchmark for both total players and peak online concurrency.

This doesn't mean what you think it means. Someone pointed out in a previous article that they are obfuscating the DLC and the 2.0 patch, conflating them as the same thing for PR spin. What they are actually saying - "More people downloaded a mandatory patch on the day it was released than ever before on PSN". They are not actually saying more people bought and downloaded the actual TTK expansion.

EDIT - I used the term obfuscating instead of outright misleading to give them the benefit of the doubt. Upon further thought I wish I hadn't because they are almost certainly intentionally misleading people.

Which even in vanilla had 100x the content of Destiny. Nice try though. I hear if you work on your GED training course they eventually explain logical fallacies. You might want to skip ahead. Destiny is an arena shooter with a handful of areas barely stitched together.

"Activision has revealed that its newly released title Destiny: The Taken King is the most successful launch in PlayStation history"

Nice click bait headline pity it doesn't match the content.

What are those numbers, exactly?

Don't console gamers prefer physical copies rather than DD? That makes me think the actual details are not that impressive.

It's World of Warcraft meets Call of Duty. Not surprised at all.
