you know what made deus ex 1 so goddamn good? the complexity of it, whether it was to punch in a password at a keypad to open an armory, hacking security cameras and such. Something that would never feel the same like doing on a controller.

As long as it not as bad as the second one i dont care,I was looking forward to deus ex2 from the moment i finished the first one and what i got for my wait was a very bad joke, only good thing about the whole game was picking corpses up and throwing them at stuff.
I don't know they were saying earlier on that consoles can't handle it. SAGE_OF_FIRE
something tells me if 360 can handle crysis 2 then a ps3 version of deus ex 3 shouldnt be too hard as long as they dont do a shabby port effort like most devs do.And to be fair after how bad the second game was i cant imagine the devs being able to get a big enough budget to make a game so big and complex that consoles cant handle. It's like how the STALKER and Crysis devs said said the games wouldnt work on 360 or ps3 and then few months later admitted they could have easily done it with some optimising done, not to mention no game has used all of the PS3's power yet

Second..look at Crysis2, designed as multiplat and they had to change a lot to make it run, thus proving that original Crysis indeed could not have run on consoles.
With STALKER...well..I'm sure they could cut the levels into many small pieces, downrage the graphics and then it would run on consoles without problems
It was my understanding that the sequel sold worse than the original?locopatho
Overall it did, but that's because it sold like crap on PC, while original managed to push 1mln copies on PC alone, with IW more Xbox users bought it than PS2 owners did with original game.
The golden rule for PC franchises coming to consoles is that if you dumb it down the sales will go up
Or am I wrong. Anyway, stuff like Fallout 3 and the Darkness reminds me of Deus Ex quite a bit and they on consoles.locopatho
Uhh..to me they don't, especially Darkness. ALtough if they do for you, then you will propably be happy...DX3 so far seems like Darkness
[QUOTE="glez13"]The first was PC exclusive, then it was ported to the PS2 two years later. IW was multiplat, and we all saw what good that did to the game.Wasn't it always multiplat?

I know. I was refering especifically to this one. Here on GS they have always had game spaces, the same in some other sites I have seen.
