I'm trying to get the stealth achievements but my game is bugged and refusing to give me ghost and smooth operator when I know for a fact it should. I'm hoping it won't screw me out of Foxiest of the Hounds even if I'm never seen. That'll really put a damper on things if it does, the experience loss already sucks.

Yeah.Kiro0

That's kinda frustrating. Hopefully they patch a lot of it. I'm playing the 360 version, so it's been fine for me, though the framerate can get annoying :P

I need to upgrade my PC again :(

I'm just shy of 20 hrs into the game and I'm just starting the second hub lol. By the way, I found the easiest way to get praxis points is to ignore codes / passwords that you may pick up and just hack electronics....Also, if you take the time to explore in detail, you'll get traveler points. Mix this with a couple of non-lethal take downs and you're all set to go.

Yeah I don't even bother looking for passwords unless I'm out of attempts or it's level 5 and I don't feel like hacking. The mini-game is a ton of fun anyway!

It's quite easy actually :P Unless you're playing with a controller then I could see it being hard.

Most of the time, I'm all like "OMG....HOW DID I WIN THAT!?" with only .5 seconds left.

The timer is just so fast sometimes. Even with 3 nukes I had a hard time hacking the bomb in the first mission. I guess the IceBreaker from the first game made me soft, because you could hack literally anything by just clicking the button and waiting.

Sweet Jesus the games gets hard when you get to *snip* Glitchspot *snip*

lundy86_4

The cloaking system is your friend. They can't detect you when cloaked.

Yeah i got past that part using boxes to hide behind, I meant from that point on in general the game gets hard. The game was a cake walk before that room.

Lol, that makes sense. Agreed though. The game got a little crazy when you didn't know exactly what was coming after that part.

I've spent 17 hours straight with Deus Ex:HR and just can't let it go. I'm so glad I spent the money to buy the Augmented Edition, and I rarely if ever buy games new to being with. But seeing as I'm a huge fan of the original I had to. AMAZING game anyone who wants to get away from mindless action FPS games and throw yourself into a sc-fi world where a good story takes place

Picked this up for $35 bucks off amazon, d/ling now. I really hope its worth it, I wasn't too thrilled with the "beta" and I'm hoping it is a lot more polished.

I just beat it. Very ambitious game with choice and an awesome atmosphere. A few glaring weaknesses however. Even with its glaring faults Deus Ex: HR imo is GOTY......so far.

Not awful, just extremely underwhelming and linear considering the rest of the game is about choice.

I love this game, but I haven't gotten too far. Just beat the first boss.. I can see why one would complain about the boss fights. From the one I played, the boss fights seem very out of place. It's annoying to have to keep my weapons, when I don't need them for any other part of the game, just to kill the boss. I'd be fine with just my stun fun and tranquilizer rifle.

When I kept dying to the second boss, I was all like RAAAAAAAAAGGGEEEE!

When I finally learned the attack pattern and how she ran away, I beat it with ease and thought, "Wow! That boss fight was way more fun than the first!"

This game is seriously gunning for GOTY. It's gonna give Shogun 2, The Witcher 2, Battlefield 3, and Super Mario 3D Land (Hey...opinion man) some serious competition

upgrade your fortify hacking skill. It wasn't uncommon for me to finish level 4 or 5 stuff with 10-20 seconds left on the timer.

About that. The description says the upgrade is 'automatic' with increasing the node ratings. But do you still have to select Fortify from the hack menu to really make that work?

[QUOTE="millerlight89"] I think Foxiest of the hounds is impossible. :Pmillerlight89

It's gonna take a lot of saving. I'm not looking forward to it :(

Oh for sure. I was trying to do on this playthrugh I am on now, but it is just too frustrating. If I shoot someone in the back with my tranq gun they are alerted right before they pass out. So needless to say I gave up on that idea :P

If you headshot them with a tranq gun when their back is facing you...they wont be alerted.

Atleast that's how it is with my personal experience so far.

gamespot review is dumb. mgs4 is maybe 6 hours of actual game and it gets 10. i got 35 hours. mw2 gets the same score. utter insanity

If you want the Pacifist achievement, chances are that you'd start again. Most players killed in the opening mission as the tutorials somewhat told you to do so.

Only up to the first mission hub in Detroit. It's quite good I have to say; even as a Deus Ex follow up / prequel. Though the cut scenes are jarring, and honestly the introduction of the plot and characters - that first introductory sequence really, *really* was terrible. The designers and writers really missed the mark on how deliberate the firsts long introduction and establishment of characters, world, plot and themes. Doesn't hold a candle to Liberty Island and all of those elements ticking together at all. However, damn it's a good game so far. For a game in this day and age, I'm impressed.

Haha yes you did. I tried to stay away from all the pre-hype, but it still got me.

I got it for the 360. I've not been buying many PC games (except older ones) until I upgrade hopefully this year or early next year.

Somehow, I have a feeling you'll be running it fine if you bought it for PC :P

I hope so. I might rent it or buy it cheaper on 360 later for achievements I hear the power is coming back on YAYAYAYAYAY. Also a little off topic but you gotta add me to your 360 Flist (if im not on it) so we can play gears 3 hellserge

Just finished the game. Took me 25 hours, and I didn't try to be stealthy at all. I just killed everyone and everything.

GOTY for me. It's far better than The Witcher 2, though the game was somewhat short on RPG-like choices that altered the course of the game a little bit.

I hope so. I might rent it or buy it cheaper on 360 later for achievements I hear the power is coming back on YAYAYAYAYAY. Also a little off topic but you gotta add me to your 360 Flist (if im not on it) so we can play gears 3 hellsergeAnimal-Mother

What's your gamertag? I don't think I have you on there, though I don't remember :P

Edit: Lol, wait, I think your GT is hellserge... I'm like wtf is Gears 3 hellserge? :P

Tied for GOTY with The Witcher 2 so far because they are both incredible games with a rich world to explore.Neither is perfect, but I REALLY enjoyed my time in them. I'm putting it right up there with Mass Effect as far as really well thought out universes go.DEHR definitely has one of the best game worlds that I've spent time in this gen.

I just wanna say that this game totally lived up to its awesome trailer. That's kind of a rarity.

Just finished the game today. Definitely my GOTY so far. I loved the world and the choices. I don't think I've had this much fun with a first person RPG like this since Vampire: The Masquerade.

Great game.
