Yeah... as great as HR is, I'd still list Mark of the Ninja as the best stealth game this gen.

Yeah it's one of the best. I also loved Dishonored, SC Conviction, Mark of The Ninja. This gen has been great for stealth games.

I'm still skeptical about that. This gen has been rather poor for the stealth genre.

I preferred Mark of the Ninja's stealth. DXHR is easily my GotY 2011 though.

Stealth is one thing.
But an all round stealth game with great characters, immersion, characters, graphics, sound, etc.. Goes to MGS4

Deus Ex HR is epic.
Thief will be awesome for PS4/720/PC
Dishonoured was good too.

Farcry3, Skyrim, and Dishonered all have far better stealth systems and experiences.  

It would be sad if Thief failed to come close to or outdo those games ...as it is supposed to be the Stealth King.

Dx3 isn't even the top 5 stealth games this gen, the OP doens't play games.

DX HR and Dishonored were pretty good as far as stealth is concerned but the best stealth experience this gen by far is this.

Deus Ex Human Revolution has been the best stealth game for me this generation, followed closely by Dishonored. I haven't had the chance to play Mark of the Ninja yet.

It hasn't too terribly bad for stealth games lately. The problem is that pure stealth games are diluted with more action elements (ie running and gunning), whereas many pure action games are starting to incorporate stealth elements.

Splinter cell still allows you to be stealthy.

Mark of the Ninja was amazing and a godsend for stealth fans.

Don't forget Dishonored. That was a damn good stealth game even if it was laughably easy.

Deus EX HR was really only good if you played it as a stealth game.

Far Cry 3 allowed you to be incredibly stealthy.

Hell, even Skyrim was a pretty damn good stealth game (just had to use a dagger/bow and detect life).

Hitman became Splinter Cell. 

It was decent, along with Dishonored.

This gen killed the Stealth genre. The masses that gaming brought in do not have the patience or willpower to try something without action or an explosion happening.

You know it's bad when you can only name less than 5 "stealth" games in an entire generation.
