actually, developers win all the time. whining nobodies on message boards dont have much to do with revenue streams, so as long as the game is a quality product it has a great chance to sell well. the perspective of a very vocal minority of 'HARDCOAR' fans is irrelevant, developers simply dont care about them in a majority of cases, and thats entirely to their benefit. if they did they would go insane from letting that kind of brain poison touch their minds.
Developers can't win. if they change a sequel too much everyone complains
