Devil May Cry 4 Demo Impressions.

For the people who downloaded the demo already from the ps store or the live marketplace i just wanted to know whay you guys think about it so far?

As for me,i think its pretty cool,great gameplay,graphics,and its still one loud damn game,i nearly woke up the whole house trying to shoot that demon boss to death.

But i downloaded it from live and im gonna download it from psn later just to see if its any different but i think im sure im gonna get the 360 version fr the achievements.

The only thing i dont like about it is dante is so slow,i mean like im used to the old dmc games where anytime ur fighting a boss u can easily dive outta the way of an attack,like idk if in the real game its gonna be different or like maybe as you progress through the game dante has the abilty to move faster or sumthing.But however it is i hope he isnt slow like that in the real game.But so far so good and i cant wait till it comes out.

not dante, its nero. i think hes significantly slower on purpose but man is it a good demo.

wtf its easiest difficulty? i tried berial but died. maybe i just need to get used to nero again. but yeah such an awesome demo.

The guy aint Dante, it's Nero a totally new characters to the series. The demo is set on the easiest differculty and theres a turbo mode in the real game which speeds everything up.Dahaka-UK

The Demo was terrible, AI terrible, Fighting slow and repetitive, the scenery was flat and un-involving, and the actual content of the demo was very poor (swinging around with a demon arm whoa cool.......)

Yeah the guy in the red jacket is Dante. I have no clue why they look alike I don't think there related in anyway cause capcom stated numerous times and I think they just said the white hair fits the theme of DMC or something stupid like that. But I know one thing Nero has something to do with Dante's brother Vergil. Who apparently got destroyed in DMC1. but maybe he's alive some how.

Sigh. First off it was on easy, the AI terrible? It was exactly the same as in DMC3, fightning was not slow, it was fast enough, plus Nero had NOTHING upgraded, how do you think DMC3 was before you could upgrade and got new weapons? Yes it was slow. I won't comment on the scenery, I didn't think about it much, while it looked good the design was ok.

exactly, shooters are so overrated, games like dmc are a rare gem nowadays.

First off i like the Dmc series and like action games so please dont speak of things that you dont know.

I stand by my comments, On DMC3 on no difficulty would the enemy just stand there straing at you until u kicked its face in,the fighting was very slow yes he hasnt any upgrades but even still on DMC1 dante was very strong early on and a had a decent few moves. the scenery praticly looked 2D eaprt from the one water feature at the start. It was possibly the worst place to make a demo come on u swing about for 10 minutes kill 5 bad guys then own some boss in like 12second by throwing him about.

This is the weakest in the DMC series for me (yes even DMC2 was better) i just hope the finished games better

yeah same, he just goes mental at the end. i like how in dmc games the bosses get a lot more fierce when you take down the health a lot.

when berial is at a distance and he charges at does his fast dash towards you, how do u dodge that? it ALWAYS gets me and kills meArjdagr8

Jump up and grab at his Face wtih your Devil Bringer. start comboing him to hell and when he gets stunned grab his face and you'll slam him into the ground attacking his weak point for massive damage.

But no sweat though,the real game comes out in 2 weeks and when fight him again nero should have some upgrades and better weapons,im gonna stump all over his ass lol.

Its not like shooters don't suffer from the same repetition problems. You face the same 3 enemy types for 12 hours. Run. Shoot. Take cover. Shoot. Take cover. Shoot. Dissapointing final battle. Dissapointing ending. Thats every shooter in a nut shell.

lulz yeah, i was sooo close but that dash killed me. so how do you dodge it then? rolling or jumping out the way doesnt seem to work too well

An amazing demo and it has gotten me really psyched for the full game. I would definitely purchase it the first day it comes out, but I think I'm gonna buy and beat DMC and DMC3 first, for more of the story.

I know, I know. I probaby don't have to do that, but I would like to. I owned DMC3, too difficult so I sold it, but now that I've been trained with NG I think I'll have the patience to beat the games. :)

According to the 1-up podcast, they've been playing the complete game and they say the demo doesn't do the game justice. The full game is way better in every way.

I don't know what you people are talking about!! This demo sucked!!!!!!! It doesn't do anything extraordinary that the pervious DMC games didn't do! It's the same exact thing just better graphics!!! First off the default gun in Devil May Cry has never been powerful, it's mearly a way to string combos together. You make it sound like you'll never upgrade. The enemies granted were weak in the demo but I'm assuming it's set to easy and are most likely early in the game.

I'm thinking of playing DMC3 if I ever decide to play DMC4. Should I play DMC1 first? When does DMC4 take place? After DMC2?Mordred19

I didnt like it think its really poor compared to ninja gaiden. admittedly i havent played DMC before but from what ive seen it just cant compete with NG everything in NG is done much better, IF you like this and have played NG then do yourself a favour and go and grab a copy because its excellent. If anything this demo just got me more psyched for NG2

DMC is a good game.

But UTTER garbage compared to Ninja Gaiden.

Ninja Gaiden slams this monstosity.

I liked it. I got use to the 360 control scheme so fast, plus the rumble helped with the immersion of the game. Then I played it with the sixaxis, and I just felt like it was missing something. Like what others have said, playing this game just made me more excitede about Ninja Gaiden 2.
