DMC4 is the best game I've played this gen and one of my all time favorite games. Good graphics, awesome gameplay, nice story, cheesy and action packed cutscenes etc. Only thing I wish they could've changed is the music when you're in battle.

On stage 6 playing in Devil Hunter and have gotten A or S on every mission so far. No wonder the game has sold 1.1 mill on PS3 and 880,000 on 360. Damn good game

PS: I can already tell Dante>>>>>>>Nero.

Devil May Rehash 4 is by no means a bad game, but it doesn't really feel innovative or next gen. You know what I mean?

I personally don't liek it. Well the demo, I'm new to this whole playstation thing, and needless to say I missed out on a lot of classics. Uncharted is great though.

Or they could try to do something different with the series instead of playing it safe and delivering the same type of game for the fourth time.

I borrowed it off a friend and finished it on Devil Hunter. I don't see why people are in love with this series, I thought the game was average at best. The repetitiveness is just insane. You basiclly travel through the same areas over and over and fight the same bosses 3 times each. Ninja Gaiden is much better.

but in my opinion, Nero = Dante

they are both cool, in style, and in damage impact

Dante is hard but I found the last boss harder. You can do a trick with the object in the center of the room and kill dante pretty fast with just slamming him with the Devil Bringer. The last boss to me was nearly impossible. I am glad as hell you didn't have to fight him twice. I thought his moves were pretty funny though "repent" anyways I couldn't imagine trying to beat the game on any level higher then Devil Hunter.

Far from it, DMC3 was much better, DMC4 also felt dated and needed more, IMO...graphics were good (cutscenes only) and the story was top notch...but everyting else, IMO was bad.

Condemned, Gears, Halo 3, Uncharted...are the best i've played this gen.

Well I thought it was pretty good.

The only boss that was hard to me was the statue thing. Oh yeah and the old guy at the end was impossible for me to beat the first time, but then I learned a technique and i can kill him extra fast :D ( well maybe i am exaggerating a little but i do a lot better ).

Most fun I've had this gen... I don't see what makes a game next gen... All I care about is if I have fun... Well most fun for a single player game, that is.

God of War 2 spoilt me....a LAST GEN GAME, made DMC4 look bad, not visually, but the overall scale, boss fights and just how big the levels were in GOW2.

It was one of my favourites. I have to say I enjoyed playing as Nero more than Dante because of the Devil Bringer. The whole game was stunning, oozes style, and is the best looking console game along with Uncharted IMO. I played the 360 version, not that it's a big difference.

I guess the one thing I didn't like was how you get used to one character for half the game, then you have to change.

It's one of the best games I've played this generation, and to all saying that it doesn't feel next generation, they aren't looking at the games they're probably currently playing. No game this generation "feels" next generation, it was all done before.

DMC4 is taking the DMC formula on an evolutionary trip and nearly perfects it.

God NO!

Perfects it? Sure maybe concerning a great story/characters..but gameplay needs way more improvement, when compared to the previous installments, DMC3 expecially.

animations needs work, and it just feels dated.

It doesn't need that much of an improvement in the gameplay department. I said nearly.

The animations don't feel dated to me, in fact they feel fine. Many of them are better than a lot of current generation games. The only problem with them that I had is that the jumping wasn't more fluid; I'd have preferred a NG stile jump, but it would've lost a lot of it's own stile with that.

PS: Do you seriously think RE4 was the best game ever made?

It's alright, but I didn't think it was even in the top 10 of this generation. The level design was insanely stale and old school. Also, it was probably the most repetitive game this generation, outside of Assassin's Creed, of course, but I actually liked Assassin's Creed, because it had better gameplay structure.

I can understand what you're saying, but most pure action games are this way. Look at NG: Flying swallow, flying swallow, flying swallow (or Izuna Drop). Look at GoW's button mashing gameplay. It's all repetitive, not that you have to make it so in NG's case, but it does work. DMC4's was just limited because of a lack unique combos for the weapons. Otherwise there are countless ways to string together combos (especially with Dante).

LMFAO, what?

Calm down..i haven't even watched or read GS review, i never agree with most of what they say, DMC4 IMO, isn't NO where near perfect and if it were, many other site would have noted it...and MANY more gamers would have praised it.

Compared to a lot of games out there, DMC4 could have been more, and capcom could have done more.

BTW, stop attemping to sound cool, but saying that....see i can do it too:|

Cool. I obviously disagree though lol

Gamers praise? As u can see in this thread alot of ppl like or love it. 1.1 million units on PS3 is huge praise. Previous DMC games haven't done that well besides DMC1.

Even with the wide variety of combo's, it's the same **** over and over and over again.

I agree, it gets repetative...unlike games like NG with being able to get more weapons and have a huge moves list for each weapon.

like i said, capcom fell short with DMC4, but thats my opinion.

Well, its my kinda **** 8)Super_Swagger

:D I'm fine with that. As long as you respect my opinion without flaming me, then I'll respect your opinion. I like the game, but I just wanted more, that's all.

DMC3 > DMC4. 4 is for n00bs!!catlin_czirr

Yeah, I knew Im not the only one here who thinks the same, if DMC3 has real time style switching, it would be perfect.

Rented it, and honestly I'm a little dissapointed. The combat is as great as ever, but there's a lot of issues left over from the previous games that should have been fixed by now but still aren't.
