It ain't a bad service. I think they should secure permanent status for some games though, mainly multiplayer competitive like CoD and whatever else. That would be enticing.
Zero.... That were even discussing it is indicative of how far the industry has failed gamers... Specifically the early adopters, ie. Biggest fans of these games. Day 1 represents low standards and unfinished designs and ideas. No one is releasing games on day 1 that won't be better a few months down the line.
If I had to choose best quality/most engaging or at least what I would consider a safe(r) buy at launch I'd probably choose Nintendo, From or maybe even Housemarque or Devolver games. Those publishers/developers make fun games out of the box, patches usually round out the experience but their games are usually fleshed out and engaging from the get go.
T10 & Playground Games. They are the only 2 devs that I have bought every one of their games. Gunfire Games could join that league if Remnant 2 releases in great shape.
Honestly that includes any game I want on day one.. I don't care who the devs are if the game is something that interests me and I like what I have seen and heard.
Basically anything that is first party nintendo. Nintendo makes very polished games almost never hear about a nintendo game being buggy and there games never go on sale so there is like zero point to wait. Insomanic games there games are heck of fun and tech marvels that dong have many bugs.
