Dev's will start seeing that Wii is not a VIABLE Platform for big TITLES

No More Heroes flopped in Japan which means alot of Wii owners don't but 3rd party games and that alot of casual gamers own a Wii. Maybe thats why the attach rate is so LOW.

The Wii is selling so good, but it doesn't make sense since the games or the online don't justify the sales.

People are buying the Wii just to play Wii sports and Wii fit.

Wii fit will sell MORE than Mario Galaxy which is a shame.

Developers will release big titles on PC,X360,and PS3, where the sells are at/

Wii has the most consoles sold but it has the lowest software sales, which really says something about most of the Wii owners/

If they release No More Heroes on PS3 or PS2 I guarantee it would sell

No it just says that the majority of good games on it are the first party, third party devs need to try harder.. SMG is proof of this.. It may even win GOTY for all we know.. sSubZerOo

Some of what you are saying is true, but look at a game like RE4 for the Wii or the Gamecube. IMO RE4 has been the greatest game I have played and it was originally made for the GC and it was a massive world.

First, I haven't seen or heard any reviews for NMH, so we have no idea if it's a good game or not. Second, while NMH gets thrown around on here a lot, it's from a company that in the past has produced some pretty niche/cult games for the hardcore crowd, if I have my facts straight. Why would that translate to high sales?

good points. i was about to say roughly the same myself.

it also hasnt been released in the US or europe yet and finally it doesent need to sell millions to become profitable due to wii having far lower dev costs.

If No More Heroes is not a casual game then the only games where you can call yourself a hardcore gamer is Everquest 1 and Ultima Online.Supafly1

You must have missed the part where RE4:Wii edition, a multiplat game that was on both the PS2 and GCN sold 1 million copies. This is in spite of the fact the game also sold 1.91 million copies on the PS2 and 1.66 million copes on the GCN, and those 1.66 million GCN copies are backwards compatible with the Wii. PBSnipes

That was a port of a great game sold at a discounted price of 29.99. That could be a HUGE reason why it sold so very well. When its 20 dollars cheaper then the competition and its a known good game.

You musty mean the 360 and the PC because PS3 owners aren't buying games either based on NPD reports, Famitsu Reports, and whoever reports European games.too_much_eslim

Forget your standard games..they will not work on Wii. These "standard" games rely on technology..somethign wii doesnt' have. 3rd parties will spend LESS money making newer types of games..which are iether average or mediocre to the hardcores eyes but GREAT for casuals and Non gamers..hence why it will sell millions.

Another thread from you that proves you don't get the Wii... It is a casual system, that is why No More Heroes didn't sell well. Get that through your head, the casuals are not like you. Along with that, I think it's the other way around. Once developers learn how to utilize the Wii correctly rather then blaming their bad graphics on the Wii's limits, instead find ways to innovate, it'll become a pretty good console. I'm not saying it'll ever reach the calibur of games on 360 or PS3 in the sense of scope. But games that were insane last gen. So far only one or two third party developer has made a game that can even stand up to last-gen games. Once the developers learn that it's possible, I think we'll see a rise in good 3rd party support for the Wii. rolo107

As much as I hate to admit it, you might be right. I like the Wii a lot, but when you take a look at reality a lot of what your saying is true. I was looking through my local newspaper the other day and on the front page of one of sections was a 80 year old lady who was talking about how she finally got a Wii. Looks like they are enjoying them in nursing homes. Whats interesting is that no one ever speaks about good games that comes out for Wii. The only thing you hear about is Wii sports.

So I'm going to agree with you, if No more heroes won't sell. Then its not looking good for genres that aren't mini games. While the Wii is sucessful, it seems that games outside that small circle i.e mini games and games geared towards light gamers don't sell well on the system. And its a shame because there is a ton of potential with the Wiimote that could benefit big name titles.

The Wii has 12 games that have sold over 1 million copies - 9 1st/2nd party, 3 3rd party

The PS3 has 2 games that have sold over 1 million copies - 2 1st/2nd party, 0 3rd party

All types of games sell better on the Wii than the PS3 - casual/hardcore/1st party/3rd party. NOTHING sells well on the PS3 - not even Guitar Hero 3.

None of the Cooking Mama games on the Wii has ever sold at least 1,000,000 units. I doubt that all of them combined would hit 1,000,000.
