@davillain-: It has been downgraded, but I think the game looks great. Make sure you set HBAO to Full as it makes a big difference to the visuals and gives scenes more depth. The foliage/vegitation really pops with it set to full. It is not set to full when you select the Ultra preset and you have to manually set it with the Custom settings. I also turn off chromatic aberration, motion blur, and anti-aliasing to have as crisp of an image as possible.
I have HBAO Full and no motion blur, chromatic aberration, & Anti-aliasing for best quality. Like i said, the game is stunning and the core gameplay still addictive.
@Antwan3K: @kingtito:
Ok, I took a few minutes to humor you all. And this is just the tip of the iceberg...
@loe12k - Reportly Battlefield 1 Doom Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 and Halo 5 all currently run at 4k 60FPS ultra/PC settings.
@Antwan3K - My initial takeaways: 1) 900~1080p Xbox One-level current gen games will run at native 4K resolution on Ultra settings with equal 30/60fps with room to spare.. "4K/60fps on Ultra" being something that was said to be absolutely impossible to achieve on consoles according to cows and a few other armchair engineers..
(notice you talking about "ultra settings" there Antwan...)
@Antwan3K - "a GTX 1070 couldn't match the Sorpio's performance of Forza 6 4K/60fps on Ultra settings.. It took a GTX 1080 to do what the the Scorpio was doing"
(again you with the PC Ultra settings talk...)
@ronvalencia - I can't quote all his stupidity in this thread. Read at your own risk
@ronvalencia -Scorpio exceeds GTX 1080
As for your, "when did Microsoft advertise uncompromised True 4K?" In my quick research, the majority of Lems also liked to mention Microsoft stating all their 1st party exclusives would be native 4K.
@kingtito - So far we know the MS games are going to be native 4K
@Antwan3K - 1st party on Xbox One X is looking to be 100% native 4K
@ronvalencia - Microsoft already confirmed native 4K resolution for 1st party Scorpio games
Well what the hell happened to Crackdown 3, Quantum Break, Halo 5, ReCore?
Why can't you all just admit you fell for the hype and move on. You got worked!
the only problem is that no Microsoft official, no Xbox One X advertisement, and no lemmings on this forum ever claimed or expected theXbox One X to match/exceed anything and everything possible on the PC hardware..
Whoa there, when did I ever say they did? The argument went from, "prove we said the X was a GTX 1070," to "prove we said all games would be native," to "prove we said 60fps," to "prove we said it would match PC." You're moving the goal posts.
Typical...
lol @ moving goal posts..
at first it was "4K was impossible on consoles", then it was "well Project Scorpio will just do checkerboarding like the Pro", that moved to "well, 3rd parties wont support 4K on the One X", to "we wont see open world games in 4K on Xbox One X", then on to "well PC still looks better"..
and yeah you helped with all that lifting as well.. typical indeed..
@Antwan3K: I never said any of that though. Well other than PC looks better, because well, duh... I never said 4K was impossible on consoles, never said all X games would be checkerboard 4K, never said 3rd parties wouldn’t support 4K, Open world games etc. I questioned the PC comparisons, questioned the resolution and frame rate claims, questioned the native resolution claims. Any engineer, (me) would question those claims. I may not work for Microsoft, but I know what I’m talking about. Something you and Ronvalencia don’t.

so no mention of "uncompromised 4K" in comparison to what's possible on PC from either Microsoft or Lemmings?.. gotcha.. so why do you keep going on and on with listing PC features followed by "yikes, so much for 'no compromises'" when you can't find quotes from Microsoft or Xbox fans making those claims?..
also, as expected, a bunch of links to stuff from before the console launched and most of those predictions are pretty tame compared to your conspiracy "tinfoil hat" theories about how Microsoft paid-off Digital Foundry.. "all Microsoft 1st parties at native 4K"?.. well, just about all of them are.. and since when are Quantum Break and Recore 1st party?.. and beyond all the native 4K 1st parties, when 3rd party games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Metro, FarCry, and Anthem are hitting 4K, the hardware is clearly capable and exceeding most expectations... Why can't you all just admit you consistently undersold the console, are still downplaying it to this very day, and move on?.. congratulations, you played yourself..
bottomline: like I predicted, everything in your post is 2016~2017 stuff when both sides were making wild claims.. but where are all these lemmings that are "still talking shit"?.. you've done nothing here but prove my point.. lol, "well duh"?.. you're the main one who seemingly can't wait to point out any resulting differences between PC and Xbox One X.. if it's "well duh" why even make threads such as this so you can act unimpressed with the console?..
in that same sense, I never said the One X was a GTX 1070 (Digital Foundry were the ones that said it was matching/outperforming a 1060 on ForzeTech which ultimately turned out to be the case), I never said all games would be native 4K, I never said all games would be 60fps, and I never said the Xbox One X would match PC hardware.. the vast majority (likely 95%) of Xbox fans on this forum never said those things..
Yet these were the false battlecries of cows on this forum all throughout the One X announcement, launch, and beyond.. yet you, the "unbiased champion of truth" didn't correct the cows.. you lead the charge and are apparently still championing that misinformation..

1) anything I said was in reference to what DF said the ForzaTech Demo was showcasing.. which ultimately ended up being the case for that particular game.. other than the tech reveal discussion, I never got into "chart wars" with Ron and some others.. and again, this is around the time of the TECH REVEAL!!.. youre the one still walking around talking about "uncompromised 4K", not me or anyone else.. we aren't talking about 2016 anymore dude, this is crap you're still saying in 2019!!..
2) nearly all first parties are native 4K.. and Quatum Break and Recore aren't 1st party.. also "all 1st party games" =/= "all games"
3) PC "Ultra Settings" are indeed present in some games and was primarily in reference to FM6 which clearly has a mix of Ultra and High settings. also "PC Ultra Settings" =/= "the Xbox One X will match/exceed anything and everything possible on PC hardware"
1) "no compromise" doesnt mean anything without context.. you seem to believe and have repeatedly claimed that the Xbox One X is showing "compromises" in comparison to PC hardware.. please show me a quote where Microsoft said that there would be no compromises in comparison to PC hardware.. "True 4K" is officially defined as native 4K, dynamic scaling, and checkerboard upscaling.. please tell me where the Xbox One X is continually "falling short" of what Microsoft advertised the console as..
2) your claim of Digitial Foundry possibly being in Microsoft's pocket was "wild"
3) if it moos like a cow.. etc, etc, etc
4) most 1st parties are native 4K, FM6 and a few other titles did end up with Ultra/High PC settings, and DF made their 1060/1070 claims about Forza which ultimately checked out.. again, "tame" and nearly spot-on claims..
so again, AND STILL THE ORIGINAL QUESTION, where are these lemmings who are "still talking shit"?.. when did Microsoft say that the Xbox One X would offer "uncompromised 4K" in comparison to what's possible on PC?.. what lemmings made that same claim of "uncompromised 4K"?..

You're getting boxrekt levels of sad, and throwing ron in as a lem lol worthy.
This thread is embarrassing for you just as much as the people you're quoting.
Ever heard the saying build a bridge and get over it?
@i_p_daily: He never said Ron was a Lem. He simply quoted Ron going crazy over the X specs and saying it would be as powerful as a 1070.
This is probably why @goldenelementxl hesitated to humor; because of how dense some of you are.
@Antwan3K: For the record, I never saw you hyping Xbox One X 4K or anything like that. You just took it whatever came you're way from MS and that's about it.

And the fact Ron has a PC doesn't even qualify him to be a Lem in the first place. Ron's only fault he took the Scorpio rumor specs as facts being 1070/Ryzen which was the problem. GoldenElementXL isn't nowhere the level of boxrekt so kudos to Golden.
@kuu2: DF was paid... That’s why they had a disclaimer on their article. Their airfare and lodging was all paid for by Microsoft so they could write the article. DF was given the exclusive by Microsoft.
One day you will understand the real world and how things work.
@SecretPolice: So the X doesn’t perform worse than the S in this game? The resolution bump didn’t impact the performance in any way?
@goldenelementxl:
Right, right, like I said earlier in this thread. I think you must be right, they found the X1S SecretSauce so I sold my Mini X1X MouseBox and got a Mighty X1S MonsterBox. lol
Seriously, I don't get why you try so hard to put down the X1X even to the extent to bash it with what we Know is the inferior X1S? I mean really, obviously something else is going on with this particular game but eh, carry on. :P

I have to say I agree.. the vast majority of Xbox One X games are targeting 4K are hitting that target.. they are "4K" games.. in many cases, it's hitting that target with better performance and higher quality graphical effects as well.. I mean what more could anyone ask for in terms of practical hardware performance?.. why create threads comparing the console to the best offerings on PC so that you can pretend you're unimpressed?.. why keep pretending this console isn't delivering and is "falling short time and time again"?..
plus we're still waiting for that list of lemmings who are "still talking bullshit" and spreading "misinformation" concerning the Xbox One X (in 2019, not 2016).. still waiting on those quotes from Microsoft touting "uncompromised 4K" in comparison to what's possible on PC that justifies your feigned disappointment in the OP..

That was never my argument.
I responded to @Pedro with, "I believe "uncompromised, true 4K" was the claim. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like there is a lot of compromising going on" What I'm saying there and why I included the screenshot I did was to illustrate the X version struggling with the frame rate far more than the S version. Meaning the X running the game at native 4K was hurting the performance and compromising that performance in comparison to what the S is doing. Fewer frames is a bad thing Antwan... @Pedro confused my comments with claiming the X version should be running Ultra PC settings or something, and you obviously ran with that. I never said that. All I said in my original post was that the X was running a equivalent to PC medium settings and that it's closest PC comparison was to a GTX 1060. I sure did find a lot of posts where you claimed the X would be running PC Ultra settings though...
I'm not gonna let you change the narrative to get a win.
Nope. Please review the actual discourse.
Pedro: "Was the Xbox One X supposed to running the game on Ultra?"
GoldenElementXL:"I believe "uncompromised, true 4K" was the claim. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like there is a lot of compromising going on"
Pedro:"You know 4K is just the resolution right? Compromised 4k will be checkboarding. Which games like Assasssin's Creed, Monster Hunter, etc are perfect examples of compromised 4K."
GoldenElementXl:"Not only is the game falling below the 30fps mark, it's not even performing as well as the S... AKA, there are compromises being made to hit 4K."
Pedro:"There is always compromises for every game. However, the game is hitting native 4K thus they can rightful state, uncompromised 4K. The same cannot be said for any game that is using checkerboarding which is compromised 4K and there are a slew of them as I have given a couple. So, its odd to pick on the game that is running native 4K as a jab to their initial slogan."

You still don't understand. The performance IS the compromise. I know the game is native 4K. I also know the game runs worse on the X at 4K than it does on the S at its lower resolution. AKA the performance is compromised...

dude..
the thread title is DF: Anthem PC vs Xbox One X..
the OP shows a screenshot you handpicked that shows the Xbox One X compared to a PC on Ultra Settings..
The OP shoes a gif you handpicked indicating disappointment and/or disgust at what the Xbox One X was achieving by comparison..
You then immediately switched gears to an Xbox One S comparison when @Pedro called you out.. that's the very definition of "changing your narrative to get a win"..
beyond that, are you REALLY going to sit here and claim you've never made the argument that the Xbox One X isn't living up to the idea of "no compromise" if it isn't matching what's possible on PC hardware??..

That thread is full of comments from you and @Zero_epyon trying to imply that you can't simply compare Xbox One X performance to the Xbox One S to see that the Xbox One X is delivering 4x the resolution without making true compromises to base performance and graphics..
YOUwere the one that moved the goal post to "yikes, look at the compromises being made on Xbox One X in comparison to the PC" once it was evident the console was delivering on 4K.. and unlike you, i'm not just talking about 2016.. your obsession with "uncompromised 4K" is still going on here in 2019 as you basically repeat that sentiment every chance you get and even created an entire thread this time to downplay the Xbox One X achieving native 4K on Anthem by comparing it to PC Ultra Settings in the OP..
just stop dude, you're not fooling anyone but yourself..

That thread is full of comments from you and @Zero_epyon trying to imply that you can't simply compare Xbox One X performance to the Xbox One S to see that the One X is delivering 4x the resolution without making compromises to base performance and graphics..
YOUwere the one that moved the goal post to "yikes, look at the compromises being make on Xbox One X in comparison to the PC" once it was evident the console was delivering on 4K.. and unlike you, i'm not just talking about 2016.. your obsession with "uncompromised 4K" is still going on here in 2019 as you basically repeat that sentiment every chance you get and even created an entire thread this time to downplay the Xbox One X achieving native 4K on Anthem by comparing it to PC Ultra Settings in the OP..
just stop dude, you're not fooling anyone but yourself..
Digital Foundry said PC vs Xbox One X. That's why the thread title says, "DF:" at the beginning. I'm quoting them
As for your link and quotes of me. You and I had a back and forth regarding what "compromises" were referring to. In this thread I am using YOUR definition and only comparing performance between the S and X.
In the thread you linked, "if the Xbox One X version is indeed providing an "uncompromised 4K" experience when compared to the Xbox One S (meaning there was no loss in performance made in order to achieve that higher resolution), then comparing it to the base Xbox One S is exactly what they should do to evaluate their marketing claim.."
So even when I pigeon hole the definition of "compromise" to meet your narrative, you still have a problem with it. There is a loss in performance with Anthem with the X running it at native 4K. The Digital Foundry video proves that!
@Antwan3K: @kingtito:
Ok, I took a few minutes to humor you all. And this is just the tip of the iceberg...
@loe12k - @Antwan3K - (notice you talking about "ultra settings" there Antwan...)
Reportly Battlefield 1 Doom Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 and Halo 5 all currently run at 4k 60FPS ultra/PC settings.
My initial takeaways: 1) 900~1080p Xbox One-level current gen games will run at native 4K resolution on Ultra settings with equal 30/60fps with room to spare.. "4K/60fps on Ultra" being something that was said to be absolutely impossible to achieve on consoles according to cows and a few other armchair engineers..
@Antwan3K - (again you with the PC Ultra settings talk...)
"a GTX 1070 couldn't match the Sorpio's performance of Forza 6 4K/60fps on Ultra settings.. It took a GTX 1080 to do what the the Scorpio was doing"
@ronvalencia - I can't quote all his stupidity in this thread. Read at your own risk
@ronvalencia -Scorpio exceeds GTX 1080
As for your, "when did Microsoft advertise uncompromised True 4K?" In my quick research, the majority of Lems also liked to mention Microsoft stating all their 1st party exclusives would be native 4K.
@kingtito - @Antwan3K - @ronvalencia - Microsoft already confirmed native 4K resolution for 1st party Scorpio games
So far we know the MS games are going to be native 4K
1st party on Xbox One X is looking to be 100% native 4K
Well what the hell happened to Crackdown 3, Quantum Break, Halo 5, ReCore?
Why can't you all just admit you fell for the hype and move on. You got worked!
Still waiting for anything I've said about it and I see you quoted Ron again. Hmm I thought we established he was the exception not the rule.
You failed to prove your point and failed to prove I said anything even remotely corroborating your story.
And a lot are 4K. I don't recall ever say all MS games were going to be 4K. That's a choice to be made by the devs.
3 out of the 4 games you listed launched BEFORE the X1X. Are you really that stupid to release games prior to 1X launch and then try and use that as evidence as to why not all games are 4K?
Why can't you just admit you're still butthurt and crying because of some PR fluff. Don't recall all the crying when Sony or Nintendo do it. Do us all a favor and grab some tissue, sit in a corner and cry your little eyes out and be done with it. At this point it's just pathetic
"You know 4K is just the resolution right? Compromised 4k will be checkboarding. Which games like Assasssin's Creed, Monster Hunter, etc are perfect examples of compromised 4K."
The point I have stated from the get go is that 4K is not compromised. That's the point you are conveniently missing.
@Pedro: We are talking about two different things here. I never said the resolution was compromised. I used @Antwan3K's standard and compared the performance between the X and S.
Still waiting for anything I've said about it
I don't recall ever say all MS games were going to be 4K
"we know the MS games are going to be native 4K"
Whoops. You probably should have checked the links I provided...
And once again another meltdown from the usual lemming who claim is not a lemming..lol
Was the Xbox One X supposed to running the game on Ultra?
No. But people want to find a way to bash the X1X. I notice no PS4 comparison...
You don't care about graphics remember that. lol
Well, if you think the PS4 is unworthy of a comparison, and all that matters is the XB1 and PC insofar as graphics go, that's your business.
@Pedro: We are talking about two different things here. I never said the resolution was compromised. I used @Antwan3K's standard and compared the performance between the X and S.
You initially quoted "uncompromised true 4K" and now you are saying your "I never said the resolution was compromised"? My initial quibble was calling out the system for its failure to deliver uncompromised true 4k using a native 4k game. Which is an odd thing to do because there are many games that are compromised 4k that will be great examples of that claim not being lived up to.
GoldenElementXL:"I believe "uncompromised, true 4K" was the claim. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like there is a lot of compromising going on"
The 4k goodness has been delivered all year on the X.
"can scale specifically on the horizontal axis with a maximum reduction to 60 per cent of 4K. Which means it can go as low as 2304x2160"
You're not very good at this...

Wow you don't even read your own links. Not once did I say all games would be 4K nor did I say there would be no compromises. You failed....again. Get over it

What? I quoted you saying you don't remember saying all MS games would be native 4K. I then provided a link to a thread where you said exactly that, and I failed? I never said you claimed "all games" would be 4K.

Now do RDR2 Mr. "Only 1st Party"
RDR2 came out in 2018, Mr "4K goodness has been delivered all year"
But I didn't say all MS games would be native 4K. Try reading your link again
From the link
dude..
the thread title is DF: Anthem PC vs Xbox One X..
the OP shows a screenshot you handpicked that shows the Xbox One X compared to a PC on Ultra Settings..
The OP shoes a gif you handpicked indicating disappointment and/or disgust at what the Xbox One X was achieving by comparison..
You then immediately switched gears to an Xbox One S comparison when @Pedro called you out.. that's the very definition of "changing your narrative to get a win"..
beyond that, are you REALLY going to sit here and claim you've never made the argument that the Xbox One X isn't living up to the idea of "no compromise" if it isn't matching what's possible on PC hardware??..

so you're only comparing the performance between the Xbox One X and the Xbox One S by creating a thread titled "Anthem PC vs Xbox One X", posting a "Anthem PC vs Xbox One X" comparison video by DF, posting an "Xbox One X vs PC Ultra Settings" screenshot, posting a "Xbox One X vs PC" narrative statement, and posting a gif of disappointment/disgust at the "Xbox One X vs PC Ultra Settings" screenshot you posted all within your OP?..
Cool, story bro..
I'll end this conversation with this: since you deny everything I've said on the matter I'll assume a few things moving forward
1) We'll never see you posting comments or content highlighting the differences between the Xbox One X and PC in an effort to downplay the what the Xbox One X is doing and achieving in the console space..
and
2) We'll never see you make any reference to "uncompromised 4K" as some promise Microsoft failed to deliver on or some hype that Xbox fans touted and/or fell for..
sounds good to me.. thanks for playing

No, I created a thread and provided a video of information Digital Foundry released. @Pedro asked if the game was supposed to be running at Ultra settings. I then responded to that post with a statement/opinion unrelated to the OP. My interaction with Pedro is regarding the performance comparisons between the X and S, but that is not the purpose of the thread.

You need help
Okay this is getting stupid, all this flip-flopping over a damn 4K because the damn console can't handle it. If you have a PC, you already know and what Xbox One X can & cannot do. That's what Pedro is trying to tell you GoldenElementXL. Pedro knows this and so do I.
No point in me shitting on Xbox One X since I have a PC that's so advanced then any console will ever surpass.
