For the final version wii may not be able to handle it we don't know what its gonna look like. If a console does get it, then it shouldn't be a real multiplat just a port from a full fledged pc game. I do not the pc version hampered from being a console game as-well.

Also if wii could run it...why wouldn't you just buy for PC? Most pc's would be able to handle it. Though depending on how much they work on the graphics in the final version the wii may bog down with lots of units on screen.

[QUOTE="110million"]To the fanbase, in which the majority bought it for Wii-sports, I don't think it would break even a million, or 300,000. Not saying there aren't hardcore gamers, but they are certainly few in comparison.pielover666

6 million+ people bought Super Mario Galaxy.

:|

Everyone knows who Mario is, even non-gamers. Barely anyone who isn't a gamer has a clue about Diablo.

Every gamer knows Diablo. 300,000 my ass.

No, every gamer does not know what Diablo is. And Mario is 100 times bigger than diablo.

Yes, if Blizzard really wanted to, they could make Diablo III for the Wii. But why would a revered company such as Blizzard bring such a popular franchise to a platform when it most likely will have to be downgraded to Diablo I quality. Blizzard is known to cancel games which they have invested money into just because it does not meet their standards. Do you really think Blizzard will approve a Diablo I looking Diablo III with highly downgraded specs in EVERY category and bring it to the Wii?Omnisystem
The only downgrade would be in the HD res. If you seriously think that D3 is a more technologically advanced game then mario galaxy, then please get your eyes checked. :|

I think Diablo 3 would probably sell the damn console and would easy break a million in Korea alone.

Why would they buy it for Wii when they could... ya know... get it for PC?

I realize that Mario is bigger than Diablo, but Diablo is still massive. There's no need to play down the significance of one of Blizzards main franchise.

If you had a solid argument then why bother with consoles at all?

This game is way too hardcore and violent for the precious Wii userbase.

D3 on Wii? Only if they changed it to minigames collection :D

Seriously though PS3 is the most likely candidate, but it won't happen anyway

I don't think it could run on Wii.... I have not seen a Wii game that looks that good, and I have 14 Wii games... It would have to be toned down a ton. And I don't think the fanbase of the Wii would be that interested in it either, in comparison to 360/PS3. I don't think it would sell more than 250k. If you think that it would spur sales of the console(@ the TC) for fans of the series. No it won't, fans of the series will get it on PC, where they have played and loved it already. This thread is fail.

i actually think diablo would work very well with a normal controller. i never remember having major problems with the PS1 version of diablo and ive played similar games like dungeon siege on the PSP and it worked a treat. ill put it this way...if ppl can put up with the relative clumsiness of FPSs on a controller compared to a mouse and keyboard then diablo 3 wont be a problem. its one fo the few PC franchises that would actually work well on a console imho.

so the controller wouldnt be a reason to priortise a wii version instead. the game would also work very nicely with a wiimote and nunchuck also mind.

however what might make a wii version more likely if there is to be a console version is the online systems. blizzard will not be happy being forced to use xbox live and stick to its rules and regualtions......they have battle.net which they much prefer. MS will also never ever allow battle.net on xbox live....its done MSs way or its not done. there very strict on that. ninty on the other hand couldnt give a toss. they have let EA put there own online system in their games on wii. as far as i know it even ignores things like friend codes...EA put in a replacement system. so blzzard could put battle.net on the wii. same with the PS3 also..its an open netowork. sony dont give a toss what devs do with it as long as it doesent compromise system security.

so or the online reason....if it was to come to consoles then i think a PS3 or wii version would be more likely. i wouldnt rule out a 360 version though..someone might budge on the xbox live front.

  1. I honestly don't think the wii could handle DIII without compromises (excluding the controller interface).
  2. The Wii's lackluster online component would be the last place an online focused game would land on.
  3. The 360 already has close to 10 known RTS games out and or coming out.. C&C, LOTR ect.. how many does the wii have?
  4. Do you honestly think a game like this would sell on the wii platform... let's be serious.
