What experience IN PARTICULAR does R;FOM have that xbox live didn't have from 3 years ago?

XB background download is rubbish, you can't do it when playing LIVE and you can't do it when your playing Xbox1 games.Riviera_Phantom

Good News for Playstation 3 / PSN fans. Background Downloading will be possible while on PSN and playing a game.  Starting with SingStar.  So the capability is there =)

Sorry..  but PSN does not even come close to Xbox Live.  It's cool that it's free and all...  but I don't think spending $4.18 a month for one of my favorite hobbies is a big deal. Especially when the service is far above and beyond any free service available.

I guess some you can't afford $4 a month...  and I do feel bad for you.  But then again, you could work one hour a month at a minumu wage job and still have enough money left over for snacks.

IT took over +6 months for the 360 to do that...It's not like the 360 hasn't had over 2 dozen updates.

When SONY gamers start caring about that stuff in about Never...those will be important. As it is the quality of PSN surpasses XBL, you cant find an experience like R:FOM on XBL.nanomecha4

What about if a few of my friends are all getting home from work about the same time, and want to play? Without cross-game invites, I'd have to start the game and sit there waiting for everyone to arrive, or sit in the lobby with an open chat session. With Live, I can just fire up Geometry Wars and have something to play while I wait for everyone to arrive.

Skill matching's also important, but it's something that developers can implement themselves if they like. Achievements... okay, I'll give you that one. I'm not really the type who thinks Gamerscore == e-wang.

There is going to be a big update in march..I love how sony is approving everythin with each update...xboxlive is still better but i wouldnt waste my money on it..50 dollars a month...why would i waste money if i get the same experience online with PSN and its free.oh yeah cant wait for sing star game for the playstation 3..beyondgamez

Well it will make PLANNING online gaming more fun, when you actually plan playing a game instead of just bein in a game and gettin a random invite, no excitement in that. Online gaming is fun when its planned. PSN isnt missing much rite now not having the cross-game stuff.nanomecha4
