To be honest, if the rumored consolization of Battlefield 3 occurs, I will hate DICE far more than IW. Right now, I guess DICE since BC2 is pretty good.

Even if it does get consolized, its still expected to be better than anything IW can pump out, especially now.
If Battlefield 3 won't be a true sequel to battlefield 2 (BC2 was sort of BF2.5) ... than I won't really care much about either of them.
If battlefield 3 however turns out to be a great game and not held back by consoles (meaning large maps, 64 people, mod support, ...) which I'm sure DICE can do ... than DICE > IW.

So just because the game is going to consoles that means it will be consolized? The game could still be a true sequel to BF2 and not be consolized.
They better do BF3 right. Bad Company pales in comparison to BF2. BF3 needs to be a legit Battlefield. If Battlefield 3 won't be a true sequel to battlefield 2 (BC2 was sort of BF2.5) ... than I won't really care much about either of them.

There are two things that can happen if Battlefield 3 goes multiplatform.
1) The game is developed by a team on consoles and ported to PC
2) The game is developed by seperate teams for consoles and for PC
I wouldn't be highly optimistic with option #2. Consoles will be holding back the PC version and the devs are going to dumb down the game for it to appeal to the console market and also butcher many features that could have been available on PC. Don't even get me started on the technical limitations.

Evidence is to the contrary. A true sequel needs to have a lot more in it than they have shown on Bad Company. It would have bigger maps, more vehicles, and a lot more people in the game. Aircraft, UAVs, Tanks, APCs, Jeeps, ATVs, Boats, Artillery, etc. all on the same map with 64 players. The maps would have to be much bigger and more intricate than anything seen in Bad Complany. The ability to create squads on the fly, plus better squad leader orders, and an overall commander also are missing in Bad Company. So far neither DICE or IW have done anything close without serious lag issues. Bad Co 2 starts to lag when you max out the room as it is. DICE would have to get a lot better at developing for the consoles for a true sequel to work. Then there are the mic issues...LOL.[QUOTE="phatkav"]

Well, MAG is doing a lot of the things that DICE left out of Bad Company with 256 players. Granted the graphics arent at the same level, but I have to believe its possible to have better graphics and make a 64 player game work. MAG has the command structure, all the explosions, artillery, UAV, semi-active aircraft (bombing runs, C-130 air drops, and attack choppers flying in as spawn points), APCs and Jeeps, bunkers with turrets firing constantly, grenades and rocket launchers going off all the time, etc. MAG Interdiction mode is just like Conquest. 16 APCs, a command structure, 128 players, and artillery on each side. I think it could be done if DICE wanted to. With a 64 player max, the graphics could be improved and more vehicles could be present without lagging up the place.[QUOTE="argetlam00"][QUOTE="phatkav"]

Plus...in mag you dont see many teams at the same time, and it ends up being more of a 32 person mp. Also, whenever a game is put on console it is consolized. Except bioware games and crysis 2, but we will see about that one.

MAG in particular has a great tactical way to play with squad and platoons seperated, while the field commander option is reminiscent of BF2. It just seems like PC gamers are clinging to the old days of the 90's when PC's were the absolute hardcore of the hardcore and consoles weren't as perfected.
Also, you guys are WAY late to the party- BF3 has been confirmer for consoles and a beta for all systems (minus Wii of course) will be available with Medal of Honor.
WTF? Is this a trick question?
I do like IW, for COD2, and COD4, but DiCE made this so..
.
they get extra points.
I will give more respect to Dice since they make other games besides the Battlefield series while IW just does Call Of Duty. If I was working with IW I would hate it because I would like to develop different games instead of the same series over and over again.
its not battliefield 3...it will be bad company 3.....just wait they will just change the 4 main characters...BF series cant work well on a console,
and now medal of honor's multiplayer is basically a cod clone.IW. Call of Duty still controls better than BC 2, and DICE janked a lot of features from Cod 4 to implement in BC 2. And then they made fun of MW 2 in game. Lame.

you gonna judge a game thats not even released yet? In BETA stages not even a full fledge demo? lulz.[QUOTE="dercoo"]
I guess Dice, though the MOH beta was a piece of ******.
Unless they completely revamp and fix MOH there is no way I am getting MOH
Santesyu
I played betas and know the final product is better, but that beta was in its own league of failure.

agreed, i been in beta for 10+ games and they all were better than that beta
Both are great devs...so for me its a draw !!
Personally i played much more the COD series compared to the BF series...
I see a lot of hate towards MW2, but in all honesty BF:BC2 was practically the same as BF:BC with a few 'new' additions... While i liked both MW2 & BF:BC2, I still expected more from both titles..

Care to give a list? Since I didint notice anything cod4 like in BC2. There was no perks or kill streak ablities.

- Mgnm ammo = stopping power; body armor = juggernaut; explosive damage up= danger close, ammo up= bandolier The ability to sprint without continuously holding down L3 A linear single player experience There's a part in the single player where you have to shoot a hostage that's being held up, same thing happened in mile high club. "Linear singleplayer campaign", hahahaha. Yeah, if any shooter has a linear campaign after CoD4 its automatically "jacked".
Call of Duty 4 likely jacked the medals and accolades from Battlefield 2. Along with the level up system.
