[QUOTE="DreamCryotank"]I'll wait until I see the final retail release of Crysis 2 PC completely maxed out with DX11 before I comment. It definitely surpasses Crysis 1s graphics though.ChubbyGuy40

Well you'll have to wait a long time because DX11 isn't included with Crysis 2's launch. Crytek failed PC gamers and was forced to please the console market.

Wow !!!!! Crysis 1 had Dx10 but Crysis 2 comes with DX9 only what the **** :o

[QUOTE="shakmaster13"]I'm sorry but Killzone 3 looks better than BF3, which from the trailer should be the new Blur King. Although the scale of BF3 will be off the charts compared to Killzone 3 so I guess you can't really compare the two.shakmaster13

Keep telling yourself that.

The lighting alone in BF3 blows Killzone 3's out of the water, let's not even get started on the amount of objects, textures, and destructable enviroments all running at 60fps.

I'm not denying any of this. The tech behind the game must be magnificent. It's just that to me, Killzone 3 took a much better art direction, but I wasn't expecting much from Battlefield 3 after 1942, Vietnam, and 2.

hahaha is this actually happening?? Did you really just say KZ3 is better looking?? Are you blind

This is pre-alpha right? People have to remember that things can change. They might look at it one day in development and say "Well, this won't work on consoles" or something. After Crysis 2 nothing is safe.

I really wanna see how the engine can handle 64 players in a big map, destruction and vehicles.

edidili

Thats not really down to the game engine, thats determined by the hardware its running on.

Crysis only looked good in jungles. Bring the game to cities and it won't be as good. (Crysis 2)

Mr_BillGates

I have to disagree, the parts on the ship at the end were very impressive. The high res textures on the officers uniform...I was looking at it for ages lol

Considering how much of a mess the multiplayer demo's framerate and visual options were... and how horribly blurry and oversaturated it was.

For sure.

Amazing considering how clean Crysis was visually.

DICE knocked Cry off a cliff, but top dog? Sure it'll be the prettiest thing in '11, but imo, the prettiest pictures are coming from Epic's ue3.971, if they, or someone can utilize it to that potential in real time, I think that would win. Assuming it's not just that it excels in dark environments and fails at bright ones...

I hate shooters, but that's the most realistic game I've ever seen in my life. Wonder what you need to run it at those settings.

Yep the reason why alot of console games for MP are limited for player count is dependant on level size(which is why alot of games your always in small maps) and graphics quality. The bigger the map the fewer people you can have. Consoles only have 256mb of system memory to use for a game and when someone hosts(they are the server) that eats aways at the memory because your console has to know where you are and others while knowing what they are doing too. Does anyone remember Call of Duty UO and those huge MP level's? Well say your at Rhinevalley that level makes the game use more memory then what the consoles have. Memory plays a role in every a console can do at any given time. When you you dont have enough you have to make sacrifices in level sizes, player counts, and even graphics.

requirements for this game shouldnt be too high to max out, a DX11 card and a decent 4 core cpu should do the trick, thats if Dice optimize it well, alot of PC games recently have been so poorly optimized

I honestly don't know which Developer is "Graphics King", but I do know that Battlefield 3 looks absolutely stunning and I really hope it looks that good on consoles.

Doesn't hold a candle to Modded Crysis, at max.

But it does indeed look better than vanilla Crysis. So yeah, bravo DICE. The more realistic artst.yle given to the visuals is incredibly impressive, and the animations seemed very fluid.

It wont look that good on consoles.... the Pc version is going to be non Direct x 9 based its direct x 10 and 11 based. The poor console only have 512mb total memory(256mb for video)with 2004/2005 based gpu's isnt going to happen.

But Crysis 2 wasn't designed for PC 1st unlike BF3.D= The menu is already proof.XD

Actually, crysis did not utilize dx10, i mean yes it had an option for it, but it hardly made a diffirence. They just locked the very high spec for vista and unlocked it on warhead for xp. You can do it too on the first game with a conig change

Crytek trolloled us once. ...and since they gone multiplatform and did not take advantage of dx10 in the first game. They come with crysis 2 with only dx9 since it does not worth the trouble. For the record, i played the crysis 2 demo and it looked pretty much like the videos i had been looking. No superior textures or lighting or anything.

So yeah, at this point killzone 3 looks better.

So dakan, it's this in graphics: BF3(pre alpha)>Crysis>Warhead>Killzone 3>Crysis 2.

Pretty much. As long as bf3 mp wide levels graphics are near to what we show from the linear singleplayer footage, if not, then i would say crysis looks better.

It would be sad if BF3 had a small scale in the SP, but we all know the multiplayer beats Crysis in multiplayer.:P I'm hoping for large scale battles in the SP, and with jets, the environments have to be big to use them properly, they are really fast after all(hopefully not overpowering like BF2).

Yeah, if Crysis 2's demo is an indicator.
