Did PS 3 had best library of games in last gen?

I'm choosing PS 3 - God of War Anthology, Metal Gear Solid Anthology, Unchartered trilogy, Yakuza Anthology, Devil May Cry Anthology, Dragons Dogma, Soul Trilogy, Ratchet and Clank, Resistance Trilogy, Killzone Trilogy, Last of Us, Heavy Rain/ Beyond Two Souls, all the multiplats/ HD and ps one collections on PSN store.

Did PS 3 had best library of games in last gen systems as compared to Xbox 360, Wii, PC warriors? :)

Yup, unprecedented amount of exclusive GOTYs, a perfect 10/10 exclusive and 2 top 5 GOATS.

Unfortunately, it seems Nintendo has won every generation since inception.

Include all the multiplats than yes for sure! Now do not bring in PC. PC do not have any gen, unless you count every year with a new video card!

No because the number of games matters for cows. And XBox 360/PC had more so...

Yep. Easily. 360 doesn't really have a top tier exclusive that isn't Halo Gears or Forza. Lots of gems, but it aint touching the PS3 in my opinion.

Nope. Other than tlou and uc2 there weren't any standout games

There were no strategy games, and 360 had several, including action/strategy hybrids like Battlestations Midway and Pacific. No space sims or sims-lite and X360 had at least 3 decent ones: Star Trek Legacy, Project Sylpheed (by Square) and DarkStar One.

And this is just the beginning...Not to mention other genres.

360 has far more games. Actually more than PS2.

I´ll vote Wii. Mostly because top Nintendo games have close to no smoke screens just superb game design. And that kind of puts Nintendo in a whole different level. Specifically both Mario Galaxies and Metroid Prime are top of the top for me.

Microsoft tends to have much more solid exclusives in terms of game design than Sony, imo. Sony is cool, but many times more for its hybrid nature than for the pure videogame experience.

If we are including Multiplats, than for sure Xbox360 over PS3, since the games tend to run better on xbox360.

And... PC, because it has decades of amazing games with no hardware limitations to stop us from enjoying it.

So to me:

1st-PC

2nd-Wii

3rd-X360

4th-PS3

PC had the finest game of last gen: TM nations, back when i had a PC which could play games at 30 FPS, are you denying that? and it's free.

Granted, there were a couple of games I liked on the console and I still have mine for P5.

Cows think "TLOU" or "Uncharted" and just explode in an array of fanboy excitement, but everything ND makes post Jak and Daxter is actually pretty awful.

360 has about 1,200 retail games. PS2 has nearly 3,900. I'm not sure about indies though.

Assuming every console was an option to you last gen, I would even put the wii above ps3.

As far as exclusives go? No, the Wii had the best exclusives of that generation, by far. The HD brothers had strength in its 3rd party support.

Both the Wii and Xbox360 had better exclusives.

Unfortunately, I don't think that Demon Souls, Valkyria Chronicles, Killzone 2 and Ni No Kuni can carry the rest of the ps3's mediocre library over the victory lines. There is just very little outside of its overrated ND games.

360 has 1832 games (951 A+ ones)

PS2 has 1533 games (746 A+ ones)

You may prefer PS2's library, but that would be your personal opinion.

Actually when I agreed I was thinking of good games, not total library. Didn't know if it actually had more games or not.

Wikipedia says it has 702 xbla games, don't know if that's true or not but yeah...

Nope, out of everything you listed, the only thing i liked was the god of war series, which for the PS3 was 1 great game (GoW3) and 1 decent game (ascension), pretty much every other exclusive they had was bad

I found PS3's library extremely dull compared to the 360's. I don't like Killzone, and I've never been into Uncharted that much. They did have the Ico Collection and Demon's Souls. Those two (technically 3) games will always be in my personal top 50 but that's it.

Metacritic means dick. The PS2 had more games than the 360. It had close to 4,000. And it's very safe to say that PS2's best games wipe the floor with 360's. My opinion yes, but also a wide majority of gamers opinions too.

Yeah, I found those too and added them in. I think 360 had a great library. But People need to stop making stuff up ;P

Then Metacritic in incomplete, and a terrible choice to begin with. You're pretty close on your 360 total (if you include XBLA) but more than 2,000 short on PS2. You know, the site you're on has a pretty damn comprehensive list...

Even though I quit using the console due to hardware problems, I cannot deny the Xbox 360's amazing library. To me, it had the best library of last generation's consoles.

Not only that, but the PS2 still has a huge number of games that never appeared on other home consoles - some at least appear in "PS2 classics" section but there are easily hundreds of exclusives still missing including some of the best ones.

The 360 is left with almost nothing "exclusive" anymore with so many games either ending up on PC or ported to the XB1. 360 is going to be almost completely worthless as a legacy console.

The PS3 doesn't have a ton of exclusives left either due to all the multiplat nature of last gen, and eventually it seems they are being whittled away as well. But it's at least still far more worthwhile to keep than the 360 at this point.

PC was first place at MC/GS last gen. But not by too much.

And oddly enough it wasn't a very good gen for PC. This gen however, dat huge gap. A lot of devs have returned, and many more multiplats (japanese) make it to PC.

No. There are only 2 fantastic games the PS3 produced; Uncharted 2 and TLOU. Most people are under this delusion that PS3 was fantastic because TLOU came out during it's last days pretty much, so they remember that.
