[QUOTE="Rahnyc4"][QUOTE="-Mad_Rhetoric-"]god I love yakuza, I can't wait for #3 :)-Mad_Rhetoric-
gamespot score yakuza 1 (76) yakuza 2 (75) i think he want a game, that scored higher, like in the 80's and up.

I could honestly care less about its reviews, I can understand the why people might not like it, but the games are severely underrated

Thank you good sir for mentioning these underrated gems. Whenever people think about Sega its always about a Sonic game flopping.

You said little man. Shinobi, Sonic, Streets Of Rage, Golden Axe, Altered Beast, and Phantasy Star from Genesis says hello. I personally liked Sega's games more than Nintendo's and you REALLY missed out on some great classics.

[QUOTE="MarthRingman"]I really don't understand where all the SEGA love comes from. I always thought the Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast were pieces of crap compared to my SNES and N64- there were really no games I missed out on (mostly since my friend had the maybe 3 good games on those systems?). Was there anything worth playing on Sega, or was it all nonexistant like Blast Processing?voodoochild815

I was never really a fan of Sega, but I thought they had some good stuff. I think the Genesis was the only one I actually gave any attention to though. I liked the Saturn for Symphony of the Night, even though it was clearly the inferior version. I never got the hype or praise about the Dreamcast though.

Whoa, old school rivalry is about to heat back up. lol

Genesis does what Nintendon't. Having fun playing your kiddy fighters and praying for blood codes. The idol of Nintendo fans is a morbidly obese plumber who's girl gets stolen from him all the time... /thread

man, youre hate is blind. nintendo didnt allow mk1 on the system with blood, but they redeem thereselves with.... mortal kombat 1, 2, 3, ultimate they also had rare create killer instinct for them. ect.... i bet youre one of those people that bash nintendo, with out knowing anything what so ever about them.

Oh yeah Nintendo did have Rare. I personally like old school Rare more than Nintendo. Donkey Kong Country Trilogy, Goldeneye, Jet Force Gemini and Battletoads 1 and 2 were beyond incredible. I wish Rare made their own console instead of having Free Radical split from them. They'd be kicking everyone's asses today. Even Capcom and Ubisoft.
sonic the hedgehog 2 is one of my favorite genesis games. as well as comix zone, shadowrun, shinobi 3, and streets of rage. ReaperV7
I played Sonic 2 SO MUCH!!! It has the best levels out of any game ever made. I also loved Shinobi 3 and Streets Of Rage (that's goit to be the best name for a a game)

People love Sega because they use to be good. The Genesis was an amazing system that sold extremely well in is day. There were great games on the Saturn and the Dreamcast as well. Bad management and poor planning led them out of the console wars. Now that they just make games, there are only a few IP's worth playing anymore. The Sega Genesis deserves all the credit it has earned, except those stupid early commercials.

Hey stupid early commercials are now part of history! lol And I'm really looking forward to Bayonetta. Sega basically took Clover (Okami, Viewtiful Joe) under their wings and now they are called PlatinumGames. Don't count Sega out yet. Seriously, how many game companies are you anticipating more than 5 games from? Not that many I bet.

I see you have nothing to say about the morbidly obese plumber who's possibly in an incestuous relationship with his brother. Genesis had a kick @$$ hedgehog with bad @$$ attitude. Theres no denying this. Street of Rage cast >> Every SNES era Nintendo character. FACT

Come on, at least say ever Nintendo character excluding Samus Aran. lol

Wow, not even a mention of these great titles from SEGA at all... :(

YakuzaYakuza 2

and..

Yakuza 3

Bazooka_4ME
I almost forgot about Yakuza. Yakuza 3 looks INCREDIBLE!!!!

[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]

[QUOTE="Rahnyc4"] no it didnt..lol.. Rahnyc4

Yes it did

Nintendo caught up at the back end of the gen. By then Sega has moved away from the Genesis and onto the next gen

When Sega and Nintendo were head to head Sega beat Nintendo to a pulp, but that was ok because Nintendo removed the blood and have ever since

sorry, nintendo won that gen. even now, theres always talk about super nintendo, rather than the genesis. super nintendo games still hold up longer than genesis games. take it from someone who actually grew up in that gen. the super nintendo thomp the genesis. the genesis was a good console for sports games, though. everything else the super nintendo owned it in.

I actually lived and was well aware of that generation and sorry to bust your bubble but the Mega Drive smacked the SFC silly throughout the entire generation. In Europe The SFC was almost nonexistant. And the SFC didn't outsold the MD until late 94 when the generation was pretty much over. Games like Mario RPG were released as far as 1996 and the SFC was still having good sales since the system sold the most post-generation.

Better learn history correctly.

Yeah. The Dreamcast! I tell you, that console is worth buying even today!
