I felt it looked better. But I prefer artistic colorful visuals to grim realism.
If I were to argue which platform won this generation PS3 wouldn't be at the top of the list. People forget, the PS3 has been at 3rd place for the majority of this generation and has only recently started being taken seriously because of Sony's efforts to push it forward at any cost. They have install base to catch up on and have yet to make an actual profit.
PS3 has to maintain its current activity for a fair while before it can be considered for anything.

Why do you think that? Im being too harsh, its a good console. My problems with it: FAR too expensive at launch. Doesnt do anything better than the competition, besides playin blurays Inferior multiplats (not so these days. First run of ports were laughable though) Long wait for decent exclusives. I was blown away by the 360s graphics at launch. When the ps3 came along, it didnt show me anything new.

If one can make the arguement that the PS3, which was outsold by the WII again in October, has won then I think it is perfectly fine if I say that the Gamecube and Game Gear both won thier respective gens. The PS3 has been doing very well compaired to the last 2 years of its life, but that does not make it the winner. If one game can make a console auto win reguardless of its sales then the N64 would have beat the PS1 with Majora's Mask. As unfair as it may seem the reason why a gens winner is always dictated by sales is becuase litterally everything else is subjective. No matter how you spin it, if a console sells 25 million in its lifetime and its rival sells 30 million it is not winning in sales. There are some people who will think that uncharted is totatlly overrated, while others will hold the opinion that MGS4 is the greatest game in history, but this does not prove anything as popular opinion does not dictate fact. If that was so I would be Emperor of the North American continent. I'm just that popular.
Well the slim's lower price has boosted sales although I'm not sure if the numbers were enough to surpass either the 360 or the wii. I've only seen numbers, albeit. percentage numbers of the slims sales in the UK, I think they were 999%? I'd rather have seen official unit numbers instead of percentage and worldwide to, not just in the UK. Also this gen is far from over of letting a console win it...
