Did the MGS4 demonstration change anyone's mind about PS3?

Well I've come to a decision and have decided to get a PS3 this christmas instead of a new PC, allbecause of thatnew MGS4 Demonstration, itleft me stunned.

The Battle scene with the PMC's and the Militia made my mouth drop to the floor, it was breathtaking, the sound effects of guns firing in the distance, the explosions, the smoke effects, the sounds of soldiers screaming,and basically the whole atmosphere of it all, it was like a real War Zone, totally loved it.

no chance.... I never had interest for this game on the PS1 or PS2... this one is more of the same. I had shooter games that are slow paced and boring, why not just play a JRPG with better story?

Anyone who buys a console because of one game..especially one as run of the mill as MGS4....is not a gamer in any way!

i allready have a PS3, but MGS4 was one of the reasons to buy one.

Now that i've seen the demo (from the japanese PSN) on my HD projector, i'm even more hyped for the game.

Ps3 has some great games coming (but so do 360 and Wii imo)

Not to rain on anyones parade, but MGS simply isn't the series its acclaimed to be. Its unapproachable to gamers coming into later installments, and is overly plot driven: moreso than most RPG's.

Its not a "bad" thing, I just don't see how a game which carries most of the merits of a movie is the best thing since sliced bread.

you might want to see a doctor if your jaw dropped all the way to the floor. but MGS4 seriously looks amazing and i'm not talking about about graphics i'm talking about gameplay. my favorite part was when snake was running into battle but was getting shot from behind to he dives on his belly and then turnes on his back and shoots that guy off the roofRagashahs
