TP was amazing but I agree with Gertsman's review. I'd go with.. Lair since they closed down a development team.. The team who woul've made a new Rogue Squadron!
I played two games out of that list: Scribblenauts and TP.
Scribblenauts is a great game; 8.5 in my books (even flopped for me personally, but whatever). Levels are short, and the controls canbefrustrating, but it's still a solid buy.
TP was my first Zelda game, so maybe I'm biased, but I loved it. The artstyle was incredible, and some of he oss fights were eally fun.

Lair - 4.5
Too Human - 5.5
Haze - 6.0
Halo Wars - 6.5
Scribblenauts - 8.0
Spore - 8.0
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - 8.8

So did you enjoy any of these System Wars mega flops? If so, which ones? And do you think it/they deserved a higher score than they received?

gamerankings scores:
lair:56.57%
too human:68.24%
haze:56.33%
halo wars:81.88%
scribblenauts:78.82%
84.31%
LoZ:TP:94.28%
so actually TP DID NOT flop. its AAA.
i played scribblenauts and i hated it. and halo wars is an AA game imo. i haven't played the others. oh yeah spore, i'd give it AA as well
If we use GS scores, then why don't we change TP's scores to 9.0s? GS does use a 0.5 system now.
No Ninjabread man?BattleTurtlesNobody hyped it and nobody enjoyed it. You do know what a flop is, right? Anyway, I hated Halo Wars, I can't believe I wasted 60 dollars full price on it. TP was good but not great, I expected more from a Zelda game.

I loved Too Human and Twilight Princess was also an awesome Zelda game. I didn't play the rest, but I would like to try Spore.
Woops, I played Halo Wars. I thought it was good, not great.

My youngest son bought SPORE when it came out and never got to play it cause his pc wont run it. "surprise!" buying a pc game only to find out later you wasted 50$. Happends all too often.
Sell it to ya if you want.
That only happens to the incompentent.
If you bought a new PC game, without knowing if your PC can run it or not thats not the fault of the game. Thats what we call operator malfunction.
Such a weak ass argument against the PC.
If you assume your son is to young to know his PC specs, then whoever allowed him to purchase the game (most likely with your money) shoulders the blame. Not Spore, or his outdated PC.
/rant against ignorance and blame shifting.
But it is a shame he didn't get to play the game. My child (7) adore's Spore. It's one of her favorites.
So i was scrolling down, agreeing with, until i saw Twilight Princess. Are you mad? I dont even own a Wii, but ive been a long time zelda fan, and this game instantly sucked me in.
Since when is 8.8 a flop? A flop would be 6.9 and under.
7 is pretty much average
8 means the game is good
9 means its very good
10 means its a must buy and near perfect.
agreed. it annoys me that the majority here don't even know what the word means yet they use it a lot.So i was scrolling down, agreeing with, until i saw Twilight Princess. Are you mad? I dont even own a Wii, but ive been a long time zelda fan, and this game instantly sucked me in.

agreed. it annoys me that the majority here don't even know what the word means yet they use it a lot. Ironic that you say that, when you dont seem to know what a flop is yourself. A flop is not a bad game. A game can be awesome and still be a flop. A flop is a game which failed to live up to its hype. At the time, Twilight Princess was hyped at 9 at the lowest, 10 and the highest. It got an 8.8, and was thus a flop. That doesn't mean it's a BAD game, but it was a flop on system wars.[QUOTE="AndersK"]

I have only played Lair and Too Human out of those. As for Lair, that was a game I was extremely hyped for, but to say it fell short of what it could have been is an understatement. As for Too Human, I found it fun, but it still ended up being an almost, but not quite affair for me. It did have quite a bit of potential which I still feel could result in a great sequel if done right.
