I regret buying black ops because it got boring quick and buying fallout 3 dlc because i barely touch the dlc.

The Godfather II
Don't get me wrong it was fun and all...just not worth $60.:P Don't know why I didn't wait for a price drop.
Far Cry 2 just screams at me when I hear the word regret
awful awful game
It was the last game I bought based on a single review(gamespot gave it a very very undeserving 8.5)
Many times. Especially this gen, though. I don't regret anything I bout from last gen or the gen before.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 for the Xbox.
I got it for Turtles in Time but it won't play on my Xbox 360 so waste of $20 right there.
and I kinda regret getting Cursed Mountain Limited Edition.
I haven't beaten it yet but it's so slow.
Red Dead Redemption, Halo Reach, Gran Turismo 5 (Wasn't bad, I just never had time to play so I got bored.) Modern Warfare 1, and Modern Warfare 2.
So far this generation there are couple of games that i have regretted buying at full price.
Alpha Protocol
Dante's Inferno
Killzone 2 (hated it but i really liked the 3rd one despite it's flaws).
HAWX (poor man's ace Combat, and a lackluster story to begin with.)
For Wii: Little King's Story, No More Heroes, Epic Mickey
For PS3: The Sly Collection and Uncharted 2
This gen, it would have to be FFXIII. I consider myself a huge FF fan, but I just can't find FFXIII to be a good game. It's the only FF title I've played I didn't even bother to beat.

I recommend doing so.
The game gets better near the end. Despite the avarage story and somewhat decent dialogue, the game's biggest strength is the battle system. I found it to be very addictive, especially during the post-ending. It puts more enphasis on strategy over grinding, which is something I've been yearning for so long in RPGs.
The equipment system was crap though. Getting the ultimate weapons is pointlessly time-consuming IMO.
Back on topic: Sonic 06 for me.... yeah.... I actually bought this ****... at full price no less.
fallout 3, cross edge, and white knight chronicles. couldn't get into all 3 though I did keep fallout 3 and wkc for some reason...probably so that if I want to try and go back and beat em I can. I probably wouldn't have done that with cross edge so I sold it.

Yea...I'll pass on that I played enough of that game (ch 11 36 hours). The ATB system isn't enough to get me to finish that game.Mass Effect- bought it used, but man is this game boring and overated. Not only do the characters talk so slow, but half the stuff they talk about you seriously couldn't care less about. You can only jogg in huge environments and is the equivalent of playing a Zelda or GTA game without a horse or a car.... and you can't run.
Arkham Asylum/Assasin's Creed 2- bought these used too, but I beat the main story so fast that I should have just rented them. I feel no desire to play Assin's Creed 2 again, but being a huge Batman fan I'm a sucker for replaying the challenges and puzzles.
Bowser's Inside story- not as good as the first two, and the game is super easy. The music and charm is still there, but I don't think it was worth the purchase.
I regret buying LA Noire. Heck I even went to a midnight launch for that crappy game.rybe1025I'm hearing from a lot of people that it's actually pretty terrible. One of the people whose opinion I trust above all others says it starts out really good and then turns to s***. Luckily he is loaning me his copy when he's done so I don't have to find out the hard way (er.. expensive way). :P
Brutal Legend. My worst impulse buy ever. Just horrible.
Zack & Wiki. My refusal to use revives or hints made it one giant trial-and-error game.
L.A. Noire. Impulse buy because it's Rockstar. Not fully regretting it yet, but some of the design choices are pissing off the completionist in me.
Mirror's Edge. Not fully regretting it, but perspective and in-door platforming made the game feel a lot slower than it should be.
Super Mario Galaxy 2. Star 242 haunts my dreams.
- Elite Beat Agents - Bad rhythm game. Bad bad bad
So I guess my answer is yes, I have regretted buying a game in the past.
Slashkice
Bad taste in games. Bad, bad, bad! :x

:P

Simplicity (That's a given, considering it uses the touch screen) aside, what was wrong with Elite Beat Agents? Is it the setlist? Material Girl isn't that ba...

Two sentences have completely changed my opinion of the game. >.>

Really it turns to **** depending on your view of the story. Thats my only real gripe with LA Noire.

Meaning how much you enjoy the story or how the story plays out? My buddy says his main problem is how repetitive it is and how the story makes a dumb twist in the middle and a shocking nose dive at the end. None of that sounds good to me. I am VERY particular about story telling.Shadowgate 64
I've never been so pissed off at myself for making an impulse purchase. I wasted 75 dollars on that crap game. I was even more upset than when I wasted my money on my 5830.

I am VERY particular about story telling. I found it pretty great how it all came to conclusion. The ending itself was unsatisfying in many ways tho, mostly because bad guys were still alive and well and trolling. It's repetitive in the middle. Please Log In to post.
