[QUOTE="Chaos_HL21"]Halo also stole the idea of ring shapes world from HulahoopsFrozenLiquid

Actually Halo's borrows from Ringworld and Starship Troopers, but Harry Potter and the Order of the Phenix borrows from Star Wars and Star Wars borrow from every Science Fiction and Fantasy work out there.

-_- My god....this is a joke thread. Get over it guys. But FYI Star Wars didn't borrow from every Science Fiction and Fantasy universe out there. That's D&D's trademark. Just throwing that out there.

Yeah, I am amazed at how mnay people are quoting me saying it borrowed the idea from Ringworld, me saying that Halo stole the idea of Ring worlds from Hulahoops was from Sergeant Johnson's speech the Covenant wanting Halo in the first Halo.

People are always finding an opportunity to try gain a one-up here so it's no real surprise. It's just... Wow, they're taking you as an incredible idiot. Sometimes I wonder where's their sense of humour.

I didn't read the whole thread, just replied to that comment, which was a few posts in. Besides, it was a light-hearted jab at the comment, nothing serious. You're the one reacting unfavorably considering it's all supposed to be a joke.

yeah, not really, I remember those "sticky grenades" in time splitters and they were nothing like the Halo ones. Not that I like Halo, but it is necessary to set you straight.

No, everyone's just taking him like an idiot. Some guys here acting like they're literary scholars trying to correct his 'hulahoops" comment, ironically not knowing his post was a complete joke...like the rest of this thread. Funny thing is, that's the only post people with 'knowledge' have corrected. Well, I guess it's a good thing that Bungie acknowledged Larry Niven. If they didn't, hardly anyone here would know who the hell he was.

That's cool that Bungie gave due props to Niven. I didn't think they actually had. Ringworld is a well-known sci-fi classic, by the way. I understand that this forum is dominated by younger ages who think that there was no life before Halo, but I'm sure plenty of people knew who Niven and Ringworld were long before Halo was conceived.

If that was the case, then Alien and Starship Troopers would have come to mind when talking about Halo way before Ringworld.

Halo stole animals and turned them into grotesque land and flying machines.
