Yeah, I am amazed at how mnay people are quoting me saying it borrowed the idea from Ringworld, me saying that Halo stole the idea of Ring worlds from Hulahoops was from Sergeant Johnson's speech the Covenant wanting Halo in the first Halo.

That's cool that Bungie gave due props to Niven. I didn't think they actually had. Ringworld is a well-known sci-fi classic, by the way. I understand that this forum is dominated by younger ages who think that there was no life before Halo, but I'm sure plenty of people knew who Niven and Ringworld were long before Halo was conceived.
