Did you prefer PS 3 or 360 or Wii from last gen?

I preferred the 360 last gen. the PS3 had way more games and quality exclusives. But one thing the system didn't have was Achievement support. It was before trophies were copied and I made my own gamertag at a friend's house. I was instantly hooked. The PS3 didn't have much going for it at the time either. I bought a 360 in addition to my PS3 and used it as my primary gaming platform. Demoted my PS3 as an exclusive box. that's about when my Wii died on me too.

360, the only good game sony put out last gen i couldn't play on 360 was god of war 3. plus the DS3 was god awful. it was made for kids or people with tiny hands. So glad they finally made the DS adult sized with the DS4

edit, I noticed you added the wii. that goes below the PS3. i never used it after the novelty wore off gave it away after 2 years of sitting.

I'll probably go with the PSTriple, since most of my fondest Gen 7 memories come from that System.

Not that the Wii never brought me joy because it did and looking at the Wii menu and the Virtual Console on WIi mode for the WiiU brings a certain kind of nostalgia to it.

but The PS3 gave me Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2 so there's that.

I got in late with the 360, but it's not like there was anything for it. All it does is remind me of my Jobless days of waking up and playing Halo 3.

Loved my PS3, still have it. Controller is great, FWD-thinking. Great library and a great machine when hosting parties.

In this order

1. 360

2. PS3

3. Wii

4. PSP

5. DS

My choice is the Xbox 360. It was a great, all around, console that ran strong from the start, til the day current gen came around. The Playstation 3 didn't have a solid push until late generation.

PS3 for the same reasons I preffer PS4 over XBox One: The exclusives. Xbox's trademark games are really not my type - not to say I think they suck- But their focus on Sci-Fi shooters lost me then and is losing me now.

The 360 is one of the best consoles of all time...

Oh. I forgot about the handhelds. We have the Wii, PS3, DS, and PSP1000. The Wii and DS were a must for my kids (both girls). The PS3 and PSP were mostly for me.

This gen, both of my kids moved to iPads and PC. So, it looks like I'm the only one on schedule to buy a console (PS4).

360 all the way. I just prefer the controller, exclusives, online infrastructure. Multiplatform games were better on it.

PS3 had the best game library.

360 was a halo/gears/forza machine.

Wii only had wii sports.

PS3 easily wins.

Wii had Mario Galaxy 2, automatic win just by that game alone.

The Xbox 360 by far. I only used my Wii and PS3 for their exclusives, but I spent far more time playing my Xbox 360 because the Xbox 360 was better than the PS3 and Wii in almost all categories. It had the best online service by far. It had the best controller by far. It had the best indie/arcade scene. It had the best user interface and OS. It usually got DLC for the major games quicker. It had the best marketplace with mandatory free demos for all XBLA games. It usually had the best version of multiplats. And it brought the best innovations, leading the way with things like party chat and achievements.

Start of gen: 360/PC.

Mid gen: PS3/PC.

late mid gen: PC, sub 30 fps is just unacceptable, even if bleeding eyes are'nt.

PS3 easily. I found the exclusives more entertaining. It had a horrible start and it took awhile to catch up but it still wins.

Started on Xbox 360, finished on PS3. Got a wii to mop up any games I'd missed, and the library was a paltry 5ish and a few of those didn't interest me.

PS3 was the one for me.

360 - More games and dev support, better hardware design and more confortable controller.

PS3 and Wii had a better and more diverse library of exclusives, though.

PS3 by far Uncharted,Last of Us enough said.

360 of course, momma didn't raise no dummy. :P

I was PS3 and Wii last generation. I always get the console that does more, plus the Nintendo console.

The Xbox 360. The PS3's best exclusives - Demon's Souls, Valkyria Chronicles, and The Last of Us stacked up favorably and were all around more satisfying than the 360's exclusives. But the 360 got a lot of 360/PC games which I dug at the time, Halo and Gears got a shit ton of MP hours from me, Viva Pinata was rad, and multiplats were the best games of last gen anyway.

Wasn't playing SSF4 on the PS3, not with that butthole ass online. Wasn't exactly settling for PSN for Virtua Fighter 5 online, shit the PS3 didn't have an online version until Final Showdown. XBLA got better games overall vs PSN, and Bayonetta is beast. I can not tolerate that PS3 version.

Might have been different if I was PC gaming more during that time, but yeah overall I'd say the 360 was better. Albeit I'll say this I repurchased a PS3 to go back through some PS3 stuff I missed like Yakuza and potentially to see if Ni Nu Kuni is good. But the other exclusives for PS3, played, was not a fan. Killzone 2's mp was rad, Killzone 3's was shit, all the killzone have shit campaigns. Naughty Dog made one good Uncharted game, the other 2 aren't worthy of my spit. Resistance? only 3 was good, 1 and 2 are pathetic. Infamous was never good, and Sucker Punch has never made a good game. And I wasn't that into GT5, although I hear GT6 is good. Warhawk was cool though, game died a miserable death though. Oh and MGS4 was a fucking disappointment.
