Is there anything on AC: Origins? The release build, please.
Looks like Titanfall 2's patch needs more work. It doesn't make sense that X would be worse than Pro. It should be equal or better.
Is there anything on AC: Origins? The release build, please.
Not yet. Just updated the thread with the Titanfall 2 video.
Looks like more patches are needed for Titanfall 2 X version. Perhaps ditch the much hyped scaler and stick to static resolution even if its sub 4k.
Yeah it seems like that's the issue. It's weird because the scaler is in the PC version and seems to work fine.
@Zero_epyon: Maybe there is a reason the scaler doesn’t work here. CPU?
That's also possible. I have no idea. Makes you wonder, then, why they even used a scaler in the first place then. They had to know that the CPU is only a bit more powerful than the Pro and would run into similar issues.
Just a reminder of some of the developer interview about Xbox-X
How has the process been to get the game up and running on Xbox One X?
Extremely easy! Being a part of the Xbox One family means it was a matter of hours/days to get a build up and running, as opposed to months/years for an entirely new platform.
What specifically is your development team doing to enhance Titanfall 2 for Xbox One X?
We have increased the rendering details and dynamic resolution cap of Titanfall 2 on X1X. This means the game will always output a 4K signal, but dynamically alter the resolution based on GPU load to ensure smooth framerates. Additionally, we have brought over from the PC version of Titanfall 2 Dynamic Superscaling for times when even full 2160p doesn’t push the X1X GPU to 100% utilization.
How do these enhancements impact the gaming experience?
Titanfall 2 on X1X is a substantially clearer/sharper image presentation. Players will notice lots of little details in the world and it maintains the fluid 60 fps framerate needed for smooth gameplay more often so you won’t see any frame rate drops even with a bunch of 20 foot Titans battling it out at once.

? Dang, lems can't catch a break. TLHBO!
Wow, shoddy work from Respawn. I do not see it possible the XboneX version should be worse than the PRO version given its specs.
Probably not the publicity that Microsoft wanted for the launch of their flagship console lol.
I had a feeling that “6K” came at a price!
They do seem to fairly quickly gloss over the fact that Xbox One X version is using higher poly assets than the PS4 Pro. That might be a poor decision by Respawn if it cost resolution and performance, but is obviously not irrelevant. I play Titanfall 2 on PC but back then, the issue I had with the game was Film Grain.
So... That's one game where it visually doesn't match the PC on Ultra and the dynamic resolution is all over the place.
It wont be the last.
Respawn is looking into it, most likely a bad patch.
Sure.
Whats the excuse for Gear of War 4 running at 45-55FPS at 1080p?... Needs a patch?
Why can't you people understand that the lower the resolution the better CPU you need and the higher the resolution the better GPU you need?... The X1X is a Frankenstein machine, Its GPU is pushing above its weight at 4K its why there's checker boarding and dynamic resolution, and in games where they target 60FPS the CPU is a bottleneck so it dips when there are too many things going on.
These two situations won't be the last... Considering that on PC those two games are considered greatly optimised games.
This will be the norm for demanding games. Not exceptions... DF are currently working on several comparison videos that will show expose just this.
@Grey_Eyed_Elf: gears runs at 4k/30 fps bro, which is phenomenal on a 499 system, quit downplaying shit
The 1080p version has better fidelity than the PC VERSION, which was confirmed by gamespot a few days ago.
Now quit cowering behind the PC, cow.
Lets not forget battlefield on ps4 dropping as low as 160x90... and we knew that wasn't because it couldn't handle it.
At this point, we all know Xbox One X is limited to it's CPU, we shouldn't be expecting everything to be 60fps. This is a 4K eye-candy for console gamers, not us PC gamers mind you. Console gamers knows if they wanna see framerates to better graphics, they know were to get it, build a PC but the thing is, there lazy to just investing PC which is why they rather deal with a console that is Xbox One X.
Whenever next-gen starts, both Sony/MS better stop with these cheap CPU and go for something better. Ryzen 3 at least.

Glad to see you had no retort to anything else too.

This is exactly it, No one not even MS promised all games would be 4k/60fps (some cows keep saying this), this is a console first, thus it should be compared to other consoles in that same price range.
What i don't comprehend is the horde of hermits or pretend hermits pulling their "bbbut u can just get a 1070/1080 and not need this!11"
This console is a fraction of the cost when compared to those cards, especially in Canada, for the price tag you get one of nicest eye candy consoles WITH a 4k blu ray player, which on it's own is a fantastic deal.
I still know MANY people who prefer consoles over PCs, and this is the console for those people that still want some power and the console experience.

Its not a article its a Video, done with no voice over or any form of analysis.
The X1X version and X1 version have a lower quality DOF as seen in the image below and along with lower quality lighting and ambient occlusion its why the image is has more contrast giving the impression that it has more "fidelity".
The X1X was meant to match a GTX 1070?... 60 v 30FPS?... Sure buddy.

keep damage controlling though
While discussing Gears of War 4, reviewer Jimmy Thang said, "In terms of pure image fidelity, it surprisingly looked better than our high-end gaming PC equipped with a GTX 1080 running the game maxed out, as it offered extra dynamic shadows that don't seem to be available on the PC.

"Fortunately, Gears of War 4 also offers a performance mode that eschews the native 4K rendering in favor of a smoother experience. Here, it looks visually closer to its orignal Xbox One counterpart, but often felt like it was running at 60 FPS." LINK
Going by a site doesn't actually measure performance and uses words like "felt"... Really?
The 1080p mode is proven to run at bad framerates around 40-50FPS.
Damage control?... Stop using comparison from incompetent people. Wait for the DF comparisons... They are coming soon.
Felt.

That's your answer? LMAO.
dude, you're so hurt some of us are buying this Box, Gamespot just rekt you and you are damage controlling and now asking for DF.
I guess DF matters now?
Check out the Lem damage control in this thread........ those true, uncompromised 4k pixels are looking to be more and more compromised as the days go by.
Cows tried to tell you but once again you allowed Microsoft to take you all for fools.

The only people rekt by Gamespot are you lems. you clowns allowed them to tell you it felt like 60 fps in Performance mode when it actually was dipping to 44fps @ 1080p.
Gamespot has zero credibility when it comes to graphics/tech analysis, the final say is always Digital Foundry. ? Get rekt lem.

? MS keeps riding them all the time. They got suckered into believing "power of teh cloudz" at the beginning of the gen and they paid $500 for a watercooler that ran a lot of games at 720p and 900p and came bundled with a spy camera. MS also spent years hyping games like Fable Legends and Scalebound only to cancel them without notice. Lems have Stockholm syndrome and continue to defend their abusers at MS.
@quadknight - You know lems have sore butts when this thread is only on 2 pages....... It's a known fact that if Titan Fall 2 ran at native 4k all the time with a locked 60fps they would of been all over this thread like a rash claiming ownage over every thing and every one.
But alas, they can't handle it when things don't go their way so they avoid it.

Exactly. I remember the first DF thread analyzing the XboneX where DF claimed it has "GTX 1070 like" performance using the Forza demo and lems were like flies on shit all over that thread. The fact this thread is only 2 pages and the Xbone releases today speaks volumes lol.
Mighty X is delivering on its 4k promise.
Cows struggling to handle this.
Lets totally forget the PS4 Pro had issues with games running slower than PS4 and they where resolved in time.
I don't seem to remember Microsoft promising "un-compromised checker-board rendered 4k pixels"

1080p games running at native 4k, most games are doing that. Delivered
@tdkmillsy: You must have missed the news that all of the recent Bathesda games are running at “dynamic resolution.” Fallout 4, Skyrim, Wolfenstein II, The Evil Within 2, Dishonered 1 & 2. ESO is the only native game, and that was native on the Pro as well.
Most games are running at 4K? I’m starting to wonder if he word “most” is becoming a buzzword too.

Fallout 4 barely ran at 1080p at 30fps on low PC settings on the Xbox One.
Switching to dynamic resolution with better settings to lock down the fps was a smart move. It will still run at much better than the PS4 Pro.

If you and ilk truly believe this then now all you beg to get this unstickied so you can own all the lems when PS Bore Poo outperforms Mighty X1X for the next few years.... I expect all you to contact mods to demand this sticky be abolished and let the pwnage begin in earnest....G'head, I'll go right for the.. I triple dog dare ya.. Lolol :P

Its system wars and better than PS4 Pro is all thats required.
Microsoft said their native 1080p games running on on Xbox One X would be native 4k. All the rest was added by cows in these forums.
Other developers can choose to use the hardware any which way they like. Nobody over hyped anything but Cows.
Mighty X stomping on the PS4 Pro in almost every area.

There was only 1 promise made at that was by Microsoft that all their games running 1080p on Xbox One will run at native 4k on Xbox One X
Show me another promise and it will show I'm dishonest
@tdkmillsy:
No, no, no, I was speaking to all those you were speaking to, in essence, agreeing with you. The moving all goalposts where they act as though MS promised all games would be native 4K and we all know that's a big fat lie. MS said from the start it's up to devs to use X1X however they see fit.

@Zero_epyon: That sonic game looks like a shit port on all platforms..the pro version should be able to do higher resolution too.
