DiRT 2: Most Underrated game this Gen.?

I swear this game should be a LOT bigger than it currently is. Its been out a little over a year and the community is pretty much dead on the xbox. Me and my friend could literally not find a single game. This game has some of the best looking graphics, great gameplay, one of the best soundtracks, yet no one plays it, a real shame indeed.

Im finding it easy to Race people on PC.

There's still people racing on the PC. :) ... and yeah, it's a great game. Certainly underrated.

Its over rated. I was expecting a Colin McRae game when i played it. Instead i got X Games 2.

Online is bare bones, especially compared to other racing games such Forza and not near as much fun as Blur.

I thought it was great. But the fun only lasted about 30 hours, online was pretty good too, but if it's dead now then I'm glad I sold the game months ago.

I liked the head to head racing online, it was going pretty strong in the months after release. I couldn't get into the "weekly" tournaments unfortunately, because the people's times/scores were always so ridiculous that even with a downloadable ghost there was just no way for me to come close. The people that perfect that "rail riding" crap in driving games are the equivalent to campers in a 1st person shooter IMO, or people that find "exploits" in a sports game and use it over and over again. It just exposes the weaknesses in the game's design and kills the fun for people that don't want to find the "unrealistic" exploits in a video game.

That title was taken by NIER, runner up given to Lost Odyssey.

Great game, but it always seemed you were driving on the same four or five tracks, at least to me it did. Only played it a few times online, and it was full of rammers (PS3 version).

Love the handling model, though, and the force feedback is really well done.

Behind the lovely visuals and the rather original feel to the game i.e the menu system and how it presents itself lies a very weak racing game with laughable physics. The physics just about work for the rally cars but the trucks are a complete joke. Everything floats around and there is no sense of weight at all. There needed to be more rally cross tracks, the actual rally stages are quite nice I guess but one big killer atleast for me was the corrupt data save that happened twice (PC version). The game simply does not have enough for me to go and complete it again 3rd time round... So now I race on F1 2010 which sadly has lovely bugs that if not fixed soon may kill it off even quicker than previously thought.

Dirt driving suxsss, It just reminds me of how good rally sport challange 2 was and how we need another.
