"I dont see a downgrade." Your either not looking or have not played the 360 version. In a nutshell, no HDR, a serious lack of grass and folliage in the environemt compared to the 360 version, and really bad textures used to represent the ground.swanlee

I've played DIRT on 360, it looks the same. Mebe its because i'm looking at it through the eyes of someone that isnt blinded by fanboyism.

The background objects dont look as detailed as the X360 version, I think. I'll have to compare them tonight. But it wouldnt be a surprise if the background textures weren't quite as good. That seems to be teh case of most of the multiplats on the PS3. And before you scream fanboy, my Live gametag is bigdog118. I just played Dirt on my x360 lastnight.

I think PS3 owners are going to love this game. Its a lot better than MotorStorm IMO. I also think that the game will be most enjoyed by players with a racing wheel or controller with feedback. The effects of rolling over different surfaces is very important to thefully enjoy this game. So, PS3 people, go get a rumble controller when getting this game.

"I've played DIRT on 360, it looks the same" I have over 4 hrs of DRIVE time into DiRT on over 250 miles on the game, My Live tag is also swanlee just to prove how much I have played the game. It is a huge downgrade, it is more blurry, reduced textures, lack of HDR etc. This game was SUPPOSE to be built FOR the PS3 with Sony co developing the NEON engine with Codemasters. And yet the 360 gets the game FIRST, and gets the better version of the game. Just another knock on the PS3 whihc is adding up daily.swanlee

Ahh - don't ruin his post :). After I saw those screenshots I pretty much knew this entire topic was just.. eh. Judging from those pictures alone, the game looks awesome - and I've played the 360 version briefly, yet I don't see the huge downgrade he's going on about.

i think thats the reason....fanboys are kind of ridiculous, i dont understand how they go through life like that....I dont see any difference, i see some pictures that are worse...but i could go get a Dirt 360 picture that looks worse than one of the ps3 pics and say "DOWNGRADE COMPLETE"

Plus who cares about it on ps3?? Ps3 has Motorstorm...

yawn. Another fanboy quoting his LEMMING gamertag to prove that the PS3 version is gimped. What does all the "drive time" in the worldon the 360have to do with YOU judging the final version of a game that is not out yet? Oh I get your logic: you played the 360 version so you can tell by looking at pictures how the ps3 version will be....awesome!

At this point and time nobody should be surprise that the 360 versions are superior, whether in graphics, frame rates, scores, or online capabilities. Its just pretty sad the "POWER" of the PS3 doesn't make any huge differences as some might have thought from the beginning. But time just proves these two consoles are similar in different ways but one console is less expensive. That's why the PS3 is dead last.
