Company of Heroes 2 was completely redesigned from the ground up to total over £300 of microtransactions including intentionally cut units they sell for £2.50-£5 each.

They also intentionally block unit model mods because they know people would make all of those units and include them in the game and circumvent the overpriced DLC.

They also sell skins made by users and give them a cut - Free income for them. This was the reason the Starcraft 2 mapping/modding community died, blizzard were vetting all maps and wanted to sell maps made by modders(they expected the DOTA devs to make DOTA 2 and make money off of it, the response to that was obvious), putting a file size limit and crap matchmaking system to facilitate this, by the time arcade came around, it was too late.

Not gonna complain about something like this. If you wanna be an idiot and spend money to have a random chance at getting something go for it. If you're smart you just save up your drops and trade to get what you want.

And if you're even smarter you don't play games with microtransactions in them at all.

Good luck.

Thanks. I manage to avoid them just fine.

Then you are avoiding some great games. Rocket League is incredibly fun and addicting. The micro transactions are purely cosmetic and do nothing to the actual gameplay experience.

Trash mobile games probably. Pay to mitigate your waiting period. So surprised people actually pay for that stuff....but I guess if people are dumb enough to buy it it's not a bad move to sell it. Best the DLC take their money before they do something even dumber with it.

It's our own fault for buying the horse armor in Oblivion lol. I thought it was really dirty Destiny had on disc content locked behind a paywall, doubt they're the first to do it. As for microtransactions anything thats pay to win on a game that's not F2P is dirty.

The worse has always been map packs for fps's.. They split the online base further between the people who buy them and not, make every ones experience worse.. That being said, the cosmetic complaints are absurd.. They are completely optional and do not affect your gameplay what so ever.. You guys clearly haven't seen what some online games out there do in creating clear advantages in a pvp atmosphere between those who pay large sums of money and those who don't..
